*Some will use 2.0ns memory, others will use 1.6ns memory. I believe the one tested used 1.6ns
*They clock almost identicle to the GTX, and performance differance is minimal at same clock (92-99+% from their tests at 430/1200)
*The MSRP is $500, but some companies have decided to sell theirs at $400. They expect it even lower than that soon.
*4 quads, 7 vs enabled...a quad disabled and one vs disabled. Um...Yay?!

Assuming it will take a bios flash to a gtx and the extra pipes and vs work, you'd think you could run as a gtx, and in SLI mode with another GTX.

Someone that actually reads chinese needs to take a look at it, as they could tell you better than I...But:

Yeah, in theory, it should. The clocks look like they'll definately suffice...Now we just need someone to try and see if the pipes unlock, and if they can keep those clocks in doing so...But surely looks promising.

Yeah, those are separate rumors though, no? I coulda sworn the 800 rumor was started around the same time that big ass Quadro HSF was found. 32 pipes has always kind of been the mindset for the Ultra...if it ever comes, there haven't been any 'official' rumors though.

Like stated before, if these sell out too fast, nvidia will start downgrading GTX's w/ locked bios for even 20 and sell for GT prices... i'm waiting for that!

Well, i'm putting my 7800gtx on a chiller and pushing it to 800 lol ultra or no ultra i'm getting 800+ mhz

Pipes unlockaable...but how? Bios flash? Rivatuner worked for them on 3 of 4 cards...I think that's what he says anyway. 2 galaxy models did unlock. Were the three that did work production samples, and the fourth that didn't work actually a retail card? That could cause potential problems getting the pipes.

So I see there`s going to be a lottery for picking up the unlockable GT.
Russian sites never had that luck like HKEPC or others did and they all are on "7800GT isn`t unlockable" point.

huh? Where did you get this idea? Even if the pipes are unlockable the boards are still different.
