    2X 7800GTX SLI 1st results with stock cooler.. I'm impressed :)

Here it is the very first with 2 Gigabyte in SLI - stock cooler of course and still using my good old FX-55 (0.13WR) at around 3.3500Mhz ..Redline using only 3.2.v ..cooling: silent 404a Mach 2..

1st - Driver instalation if you have one card already installed you have to boot on VGA mode - uninstall drivers - reinstall - than enable SLI

2nd - Even with 2 card in SLI the stocker is very silent - almost inaudible..

3rd - OC, a plesant surprise - I discover the SLI is the best of the 2 card if you forced OC with coolbits or RivaTuner..
The first card gives me 526-1390 on single, the 2nd 512-1360 - SLI OC = 526-1380 - well done Nvidia and improvement from 6800 Series (SLI OC gives you the worst of 2)

    Here is a photo:

    3DMark 2005 :

Top 8 on Hall on Fame on the very first run - not bad at all

    3DMark 2003 :

But I can not publish this score
Is there any bug with 30.000+ scores tha dont let publish??

    And finally 3DMark2001

This score is nothing special, because I'm using a non-tweaked WindowsXP..

I have to work on WindowsXP tweaks (do a testing of some tweak it may boost 3dmark scores), before cards go to Ricky's cascade ..

This is just to share with you my first 1/2 hour bench session with 7800GTX .. I can say I'm really impressed with performance of this cards at stocks..

This is Pedro Rocha over and out

nice pedro you are the only one i can trust on 3dmark benching, you run all of 3dmarks, hope you can destroy some wr.

also please tell the new tweaks i can wait one month or so for you to release them (please), so you can have all the glory at first (not saying i could beat you, others that have top equipment may if you tell them the new tweaks).

    go portugal

you cant compare those 2. You should compare 7800 in SLI with x900 in crossfire

Well, 45K not dificult to achieve with stock coolers..

This with just one tweak on WinXP, but lobbys and car much more lower than a single 7800GTX on my tweaked Win2000 bench disk partition

I didint even change the jumper to 5v, so Mushkin Redline only ata 256Mhz 2-2-2 with 3.2v

My goal seems achievable, but all depends of the behaviour of these 2 cards in Ricky's new SLI cascade

Yes. set at 526Mhz at drivers (coolbits), 3DMark 2005 reads :
    - Core Clock 567 MHz
    - Memory Clock 1386 MHz

    OK, here is a comparison between;
    - 2 7800GTX SLI in WindowsXP (with just 1 simple tweak)
    - 1 7800GTX Single in Win2000 (my fully tweaked Win2K partition):

CPU and mem speeds more or less the same ..(3350 / 256)

Those Lobbys and CH depressing low

    I wish Win2000 supports SLI

Have to work on other tweaks for WinXP, the one I used seems to give better results with 2005 than 2001 ..

How cold is the cascade? I don't think many cards have gotten past -50 to -60c.

maybe you should try to find a tweak that allows you to run sli in win2000
