Nice score by K|ngP|n in 2001 with dothan

#2 on the orb, not too far behind Oppainter. Can he grab #1 before nvidia G70 blows all Ati scores away in 2001 ?

Excellent example of Dothan power - almost 3.48GHz 3D stable is just sweet! One of the best benchers at work

But it looks like k|ngp|n did not clock his X850XTPE as high as he did last time, when benched 3D @ 3.35GHz (~860/700). So we might gonna see OPP's 3DM01 record being taken down very soon

    Good luck k|ngp|n

I have enough left to take #1 01' I think....ran out of ln2 on my last 03' run around 4:10am . Mark 03' single card #1 is a good possibility too.

Damn nice work! Where's OPP and Macci? Kingpin and The Stilt are taking over!

    Very nice results.
And only 1.632V for this clocks?
Are you doing this all by your self or you have someone that helps you with LN?

Grats Vince, you're doing real good GL with some more LN2.

Though I was looking, and that 329.3fps Nature with 837/694 X850 clocks kinda sucks Did you try those timings I PM'd you about?
I was going to ask you, which card you think would be better (since I have to get a new one, and benching 2001SE is my primary goal).... the X800XTPE or X850XTPE AGP. I know the X850 scores lower per clock, but I figured the chance of it getting higher clocks was a lot better.
However, looks like even higher clocks doesn't make up for it in 3D-2001 =/

So you gonna throw that X800XTPE in there on LN2?

I'm going for all out max clocks with x850 on these 01' runs. WHen I run max clocks on the card, it only likes default timings and trp@5 not to mention IM stuck using 5.1 cats because I cant force the older drivers on the agp card, only the pci-express version. X800xtpe with cat 4.12's on ln2 will be better no doubt. Now I'm thinking I can take #1 pretty easily with x850 around 860-870/700+ and cpu@3500mhz. I almost had that run completed, before I ran out. COuldn't get a good CL, must have re-ran 30 times in a row ,then I just ran out of ln2. Rig was running so strong.

Try WinXP SP2. Also use the MPS Uniprocessor instead of the ACPI Multiprocessor, works much better with the Dothans.

That is one kickass score though

No ricky/pedro tweaks used on my 01' run. mps unip tweak gives about 150 point boost in 01' with win2k. Also, my bus speed at 249 is a joke. At 270x13(3500), that score is over 45k easy. My ram can do 275, and the cpu can do 3500mhz for 3d. It'll happen.
LOL 233 LH with 249 on my ram.... :P.
Watch lh and ch skyrocket when I raise the bus speeds.
46k possible now I'm thinking.....8 days and counting to make it happen.

Bravo ..well done .. you got the 1st place on 01 (Nvidia stupid scores based on Nature don't count) ..

The second best is OPP ATI score with almost less 700 points - vid. card and cpu almost at same speed - what humiliation for AMD, beaten with CPU that cost less than half the price of the FX !!!

Congratulations K|ngP|n for the 44K, now I need to find another goal ..but I'm very happy that was you that did ..you are excelent overclocker and truly deserves to be a Xtreme Legend

you stil have to look at the overclock though....
i would also like to see an FX with an 75% overclock in 3Dmark01...(around 4160mhz and 2MB of cache )

    still good point...
FX-55's simple don't do 75% benchable period ..even on one of the best cascades in the world ..the near was my 4ghz 0.13m FX-55 but not 3D benchable by any means..

The next times gonna be hard for AMD, is more than likely that the FX-57 (0.09m) don't work bellow -65º C..

Yesterday I've been testing my SanDiego 4000+ at Ricky's cascade when the temperature drop belllow -65ºC the CPU simple stop overclocking ..that was really bad ..

I think it is time to me to get one Dothan, fortunately I did not sell my P4C800-E and the Ricky's cascade is really out of this world now with the new 1st stage ..even with the SD at near 2.0v (to try to produce more heat) the evap never ever rise above -95ºC ..so I can expect near -100ºC all time load temps with the Dothan

edit: Nice score with your Dothan!

I should get a Pentium M CPU this week and I already have Asus P4C800-E, Asus CT-479 and ATI Radeon X850 XT PE (AGP) waiting here in my office. I'll be doing some Dothan testing later this month.

Great work Kingpin, its been a while

I like the sounds that you really believe there is more to come from your setup

However looks like Sampa might be on your tail pretty soon though

Me wonders if OPP will ever get a Dothan

    Great Job k|ngp|n!

Thats what we were waiting for - Intel and Dothan on top of 2001
And like you said there is quite a bit of room for improvement (FSB, nature score etc).

Good luck for the upcoming ln2 sessions.

Its funny to see that the board that was first to hit 26k might very well be the first to hit 46k too and 26k required over 4GHz CPU speed (w/ Northwood) =)

Well I wouldn't bet on that. Last time I ran 3DMark2001 SE with Kamu was almost 3 years ago:

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=4532128

I've no idea what are best drivers/OS/DirectX for X850 XT PE or no clue what is Ricky and Pedro tweak. Lets see if I figure them out
