    The resistor should be 550Ohm.

    Solder 10KOhm VR in parallel.
Measure vGPU on back of the card here:

Thats it. Lowering 550Ohm by each 25Ohm will increase voltage by 0.05v.

    its thermal epoxied on now....
can someone else help and tell badong what the chip he shows says please

its on the back of the card so it should be easy for someone to check it without taking thier card out of thier computer i would be extremely appreciative thanks

Here is another easy way to vmod the vgpu&vmem of your 6600gt pcie:
connect 2 50ko variable resistor to tp504(for gpu vmod) & tp503(for mem vmod),and connect the other side of 2 resistors to ground, then adjust the resistor.
you can find the position of tp503/tp504 from below (right below u502,there are two "large size" via marked "tp504"&"tp503")

I Prefer testing the 2 gray coils shown below(bigger one for vgpu another one for vdd&vddq) directly to read the voltage.

hmmm i have heatsinks on those components because of thier temperature i fear it may be difficult to measure it there is there a capacator i could possibly measure it off of

i do not need very super accurate volt measure i just need a reference stock volt and maybe increase 10-25% on that reading so perfect accuracy is not required

btw thank you fatbird so far with the great help and im sure others are benifiting from this also as i still cannot find anyother source of 6600gt volt mod for the memory then this!!

the Vmem mod for this card is so damn easy, you can literally, just stick a resistor into TP503, then run a wire to ground, and thats it, its done.

I solderd a 4.6K resistor to a wire, then to a SMD grabber, stuck the resistor into TP503's hole, then ran the SMD grabber to the ground pin, of a unused 3 pin connection on the motherboard, and thats it, it was done.

went from 1.6 volts, to 1.9.

your sure on that mod kunaak??? if so im going to do it. did you see a decent increase from that mod?? so a 10 vr would be good for this job right?? also where can i measure the mem voltage from besides what fatbird showed as i have covered that wiht a heatsink

no I did not stick a variable resistor in there, not yet.
I just solderd a 4.7K resistor to a wire, to a SMD grabber, then shoved the resistor into the hole of TP503, then grounding it with the SMD grabber to a ground pin on the motherboard, and it was done.
you can measure it, from the leg of the black box, just above C47. not sure what that thing is... but thats where you measure it. this mod required no soldering, just make sure you don't knock the wire off, or you might just kill the whole thing... SMD grabbers should be used with some caution, cause if they come lose, your gonna wish you just solderd it on.
I went from 1320, to 1370 on my ram, by this mod.
that was with the 4.7K resistor, I didn't try anymore then that.
I can say however, at 1.9 volts, the ram did get rather hot.

hey kunaak im going to perform this mod with a vr so more resistance is less volts right?? i will start with my 10k vr at 10000ohm and work down from there to 4.7k right?
i like to monitor the volts while i change them so i will solder a wire to read the volts on the fly like i normaly do with this type of thing and thanks!!

ty Kunaak, think i got it, but i still a bit afraid of killing the card since i have no card to replaced this atm, so a picture of the card with the mod would be divine

    thanks in advance

pictures of mods, from me, isn't really an option.
I have no real digital camera, and nothing capable of good close ups.
believe me, I tried in the past, even with my friends camera, even his sucks for it.

someone else would have to show you this.
all I can do, is either draw it, or describe it for you.
