Red face ASUS K8N Vcore mod

    hi again

i`m back with fresh mod for ASUS K8N, it was done as "remote control" coz one of my friends (OCMaster) start FC and still wants more and more...
he can`t find reday solution on web so decide to ask me ...and here it is:

On this asus mobo Vcore section has 3 phases, master divider is ADP 3166 [pdf] produced by Analog Devices, his slaves are 3 smal chips ADP 3418 [pdf] (one for phase) also by Analog
The 3166 can take 4phase system so...

As you can see mod depend on solder between pin 8 of ADP 3166 and GND wires with conected VR (best is 50k), (pin 8 -> FB is used for sensing and controlling the output voltage) Raising from max (50k) to min resistance geting higher Vcore voltage. For max VR value vcore should be boosted around ~0.06V
Maybe the OCP mod will be needed, now everything works fine

I can post only teory pic, OCM borow his dig to grandparents :p
here can see chips and read point:

original here: art on Hardtech.pl and here: forum of coz in polish :p

    enjoy

2V should not be exceeded. Is this that which you wanted?
