The Banana Perception Model

Time has come again for me to provide my services to this community. Since I am not an overclocker and my knowledge in computing is limited, I will employ my best known knowledge: several jokes.

The story begins here.

A recent anthropology assignment required the class to develop a robot that has human-like perception, thus making use of the 5 senses. Although this assignment did not require the utmost creativity and skill to complete I had decided to help my friend with his after I completed my own. He wanted to create something that no one had thought of before, something that shines a bright yellow into the teacher's eyes, and something that would pose as a health hazard after sitting on the desk for a week.

That's right, you guessed it. Ganja Banana!!!

B-Nana Limbs of Q-tips and hair of cotton. How can you go wrong?

The writeup. I'll writeout what everything says in case you can't catch a few of the words. I'll include the spelling errors.

"This is the tounge were the sensation of taste is had. Taste is from chemical reations on the tounge. In this case Ganja Banana is tasting Jamaica's finest."

"These are the googly eyes where the sensation of sight is developed. The sensation of sight is developed by the eye working in such a way that reflected light passes through a lens where it is percepted by the brain."

"This is The nose, where Ganja banana can smell different odours, such as flowery, putrid/rotten, fruity, spicy, burned, and resinous. Usually Ganja Banana smells a burnt smell. Smells are perceived by olfactory nervess, olfactory bulb, and the olfactory epitelium sending signals to the brain."

"This is where Ganja Banana hears his friends rapping to some sweet beats. Ganja Banana hears these beats by vibrations entering his ear causing nerves to send signals to the brain."

"The Ganja Banana touches things or feels getting touched by nerves all over his body. These nerves send a signal to the brain."

What did the teacher think???

"The Ganja Bananna* (note spelling mistake of gr.11 teacher) Perception Model is an interesting concept. It is obvious that Ganja means alot to you and your friends. He is the bannana (spelling mistake again) or "vehicle" which brings much joy and laughter into the lives of your friends.

Ganja seems to be suffering from some injury as he is "oozing" at the joints. (Sticking q-tips into a banana does that) His hair seems to have also suffered from frizz. He is also bruised in many spots, as if he has been roughly handled.

Overall, could have provided more of a detailed explanation of sensation and perception in labels.

wow, you've excelled yourself again batti_banter, i think your teacher saw the funny side, although if i'd have done that when i was at school i'd have probably been expelled, loving the model tho, perhaps a fake spliff would have gained a few extra marks!

i bet that was the talk of the staffroom for the following week, well done!

oh, ehm, reminding me on somethink. my last german test i had to write. i wrote about 6 din4 sites of rubbish and got a 4--- (*hm, ehm, so the german marking goes from 1 (*best*) to 6 (*worst*) or later in grade 12 and 13 from 15 to 0 points*) and it actuellay hat not strucure or anythink like this, and the text is more red then blue

mcnbns - Yeah, this definately deserved a pass. She did however tell us that she has a surprise planned for us, some sort or present or something. I'll let you know what it is once she shows us.

J-Mag - The teacher is 24 years old, it's her first year and I've had her for two semesters straight now. Every week I give her new sorts of trouble.

angrysquirrel - I plan to print this out on full poster sized paper and put it up in her class.

blinky - She has NO clue what ganja meant. She stopped a lesson to read her note out for fun, and said the word at least 6 or 7 times.

Jamo - I rolled up a $50 dollar bill and put it to the banana's mouth for good measure.

Dude, quick history lesson. Last month XS rid this forum of our beloved Ganja Banana (banana 4 from the list) who was smoking. This was because it referenced drugs and we can't have that running on this forum since it's open to all ages. Once this occured, that banana was only allowed here without his spliff. An addict often has trouble with his emotions and actions after taken off a stimulant they've been on for an extended period of time. This is why G. Banana is frowning and unhappy.

Fact: This thread was not made in any way to promote the use and/or awareness of marijuana and any other drug(s).

I have still to print that poster out but I have another story to tell. For an ancienct civilization project, a student built a coffin for a play which he was finished with. Thinking quick, we snatched this coffin made from particle board (6 foot long, real man sized) and carried it up to her class room, snuck in and put the coffin in front of the teacher's desk, I hid inside, closed the top and everyone else left. When class started, she walked in, asked about the coffin and I jumped out and screamed. She screamed too, and then just laughed. She used to try to deal with our antics, now she knows we're TOO MUCH to handle. She just laughs it off.

nice, not as funny but last week for a mojor end of the year project in english IV, we had to make a "scrap book" of our entire year of senior memories and such, but thanks to ganja i dont have to many of those, so i just took some markers and made up a bunch of bs the about an hour before it was dew(spell??) and i made a 90% on it!!!! all the other kids in class were pissed becuase they spent money on theirs to make it look all nice and such, and they got lower grades!!! once i get it back i'll show some pics
