    I need help overclocking A64 3000+ 939

    It's an Athlon 64 3000+ 939 90nm.
    CBBID 0508.

    It doesn't stabilize @ 2400MHz at even 1.64v.

I don't know what more I could do.

The memory is stable and the chipset didn't pass over 45ºC.

With this settings there is an error at ~5~10% of OCCT test.

PLEASE HELP ME!! I am getting crazy!
    Day-to-day config:
    Venice 3000+ LBBLE 0515FPCW @ 2.7GHz 1.47v

    that's a typical result for a 3000+ CBBID winchester

    edit: try to be helpful..

did you lower the ht link multi?
    drop the ram divider?
    increase chipset/ldt voltage?
100% certain that your agp/pci locks are working?
Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them

yep, that seems to be the true for 3000+ CBBID Winnies made in 2005. I had one, too. 3000+ CBBID 0508. I only got it 16hrs+ prime95 stable at 2385MHz, 1.58v on BOX cooler.
2400MHz was no go, no matter what I tried. It would crap out after an hour or so. Even XP-90 with 92mm did not help either

    - yes
    - no because i have ddr600 stable memory
    - no!
    - this motherboard doesn't have agp/pci lock because it doesn't have agp slot.

but I live in brazil and would have to wait... but it's not a bad idea, maybe, a cbbhd steping could solve my problems, too.

    thank you all.

I am testing OCCT now 300x8 and 1.66v.

PS.: What the max VCore I can use daily with NO problems?

So, what did you do? It haven't even passed OCCT Quick Test before? Now it does? Did you raise vcore a bit then?

Well, OCCT Quick Test is a good start. This app seems to stress the system quite hard, it tends to error out sooner than Prime95. Run Torture for more than few hours, then do some more demanding benches, like SuperPI 32M or some system-taxing 3D games...

I just put 1.69 VCore at bios...

The system seems stable, I played a little Quake3 and it was ok.

But SuperPI is interesting, sometimes I get errors in the 1Mb test even at stock speeds.

    I got 35s in SuperPI 1mb.

PS.: I'm learning English, you probably will see so MANY errors :x
