6800U gpu Volts HELP!!!!

I tried that mod with a pencil for a while and it worked out ok I suppose, I coverd it up with tape and it was fine. When I removed it ive been having problems since... I got all the pencil off 100% sure but it somtimes reads 3K instead of 8K!!! So pretty much my video card works but today I turned it on and corruption everywhere so I turned it off right away(has happend before). Is there a reason its doing that? Is it possible when I pulled the tape some of the contact that keeps that little thing on is gone? Would it be possible to just put a drop of solder on the left and right of it to make sure it has 100% contact? I dont really want to power up again even tho its reading 8.03K like it should...just too scary...reading 3K means its getting over 2V when it powers up...thats no good! lol. HELP PLZ

ive been reading it over and over and somtimes it reads 8.65 which would probly put my volts at 1.3 or lower! wtf?

nobody can help? I also wonder if this only happens when I let the card get super cold before turning the pc on... (well below 25C on the core...probly gets like 10-20C with it off depending how long i wait)

damn no responces yet...how un-xtreme ^^ . anyway, If anyone could tell me how to just bypass that resistor and use my own fixed resistor + potentiometer to keep it at a steady 8K ohm when the card is off that would be great. I would like to just get around that jumpy resistor and have a definate 8K and be able to lower it when I want to pump more than 1.5V into the gpu. Also, does anyone know of another vgpu readout point? that spot there no longer works for me since i tried to solder a dedicated readout point to that spot and it didnt stay for the duration (and took the surface point with it lol, already tried to cut the trace but no luck)

i forgot to mention. I am using the card now...its really odd...it reads 2K-3K ohm for a few minutes then all a sudden it decides to read the normal 8K ohm and then I can just plug in the card and use it as long as I want without a problem(besides like 10mhz less on the core OC because of this problem)

OHk well what u need to do is unsolder the resistor, clean the area with alcahol really good, then solder it back on. THats the only fix IMO. IF you want you can send it to me and ill do it for free.

do i have to use the same resistor ? or could I use a bran new 8K fixed one?

well its not goint to be 8K, because the way ur measuring it now is in circuit, so when u remove the resistor the readed value will change to something else, it would be easiest if u sent the card to me, but if not, take the resistor off, start with a 10K vr, solder it in place of the old one and see if u cant get it to read around 8K

OHk ill hit u up on AIM, yeah i guarantee the work bro :P Shouldnt be too hard, now i dont guarantee the card will work right because there may be some damage from running 2V even for a short period of time but we will have to see :P

well I found out that it never really ran 2V because of OVP and thats what gave me those lines on the screen. And the card works flawless...im using it right now

It works as if nothing ever happend when It turns on, just my OC is hinderd a tad because im sure its not even getting a STEADY 1.5V anymore
