    Abit AA8XE @ 429FSB

Thanks to the convergent people and Abit for a new beta bios for Abit AA8XE for >400FSB.

    6Ghz with 429 FSB.

Funny thing doesn't boot into windows at 6 gig but runs superpi 1M at 5.97gig:
    22seconds!

Running through a loop of 3D Mark at 5.8Ghz, with just 595/1350.

3d mark at 5.8Ghz is nice!

Those are some amasing scores and or benches there. I guess the Abit board really does rock.

At Cebit ECT had a Mach II GT on display with the same mobo/cpu and they had it benchmark stable @ 5.4 Ghz I'm told. Haven't seen any benches yet, but here's a picture of it from Cebit. I might wan't to try out one of those in my Mach II GT also

A pair of first gen Micron ES rams.
I just need a pair that will do much lower latencies, or 400+Mhz.

Very nice, but what is holding you back ?, I mean not booting into windows at 6ghz but kind of stable at 5.97ghz, isn't the board holding you back a bit?

It's a shame that the cpu only allows a multiplier of 14X, i think that's Intel's idea of an EE $1000 cpu

Try some OCZ DDR2 3-2-2 stuff, that'll get you to a 21 sec pi for sure !!!

    way to go shamino

I heard Abit was slacking a bit a while ago and that this was in part due to (financial) problems

anyways... is Abit back on top or not? Or were those just empty rumours?

    Awesome stuff,

Those new EE's are insane., reaching precott E0 overclocks.

I am at 23s unpatched pi and I am sure you would have been 21s if you were at 3-2-2-x 320FSB, maybe even 20s

I had the same problem on the DFI booting into windows over 6Ghz and 350FSB. I could bench at 5.9x as well. Did you try uguru to adjust the fsb in windows?
