sweet, making a rig for my m8 and plan on getting 1x512 for him, now i know it will reach 300 as long as the cpu has a good mem controller. These seem pretty competitive with the gskill LE and LA, but no one speaks about the geil
MY GEIL ULTRA_X pc3200 2x256mb
is 320 Mhz 2.5-4-3-5 Run 3dmark loop
is 325 Mhz 2.5-4-3-5 Run Spi 1mb

Engin , what voltage do you use for 289Mhz ?
Mine get real hot at 2,7+ volts, I think heat's causing errors there.
With a fan blowing over the sticks, I'm sure i can get higher
My 24/7 OC : 270 2,5-3-3-10 1T 2,65volt
(I need to do some more testing, also with a lower multi because the CPU is at it's limit)
I'm very happy with these sticks , they're only rated DDR400 but are running
DDR540 without changing voltage ! Also cheaper than GSkill over here !
i need for 289 2.5-4-3-X and good timings 3v, but its 100% stable. My cpu memcontroller are not so good, over 290 its instabil

You have timmings?
and voltages?
One thing to be aware of, Geil are using BH based UTT in their Ultra-X range now, so they're not TCCD anymore.
Is the 330 shot prime stable?

Minstadave, i have the new ultra x, and its really crappy.
2-2-2-5-1T @ 2.85 volts wont even do 215 fsb.
Try slackening the timings to 2.5-3-3-7 if you can't get much higher then you've got BH5 modules, and will need alot more volts to get them to clock nicely.Originally Posted by meateater
Yeaah got same memory(BH-5) -the words of Geil engineer:"GEIL Ultra-X module used to equip with Samsung TCCD. It was able to overclock with low voltage. People love Samsung TCCD.
Unfortunately, Samsung has stopped making TCCD this February. Therefore, we switch IC from Samsung TCCD to Winbond BH-5.
Winbond BH5 needs higher voltage to raise it's clock speed or overclock; standard clock speed require 2.5 to 2.65v, OC to 260 or 270 require atleast 2.85+.
However, there are only few motherboards support 2.85v; most of them are 2.8v top. "
I have tested CAS 2.5 and result was bunch of errors on Memtest 86 at any speed-you can use CAS 1.5 or 2.0 only

Nice BH-5 from GEIL "crappy"?....................
Maxime Voltage GO FSB at 2.2.2.5
I can do it, rock stable
I now take back the word crappy I mentioned before.Nice BH-5 from GEIL "crappy"?....................
Maxime Voltage GO FSB at 2.2.2.5
I just got my ultra-d and now I love my geils!
I pumped 3.2v and I can reach 240fsb 2-2-2-5, gonna memtest this soon...
toliman, what cooling do you use for your proc? thanks
