    The 'Beast II Redo'

    Pasted from OC:

Well, I got off my lazy butt and reconfigured the Beast II. I never sit still, always moving I say I've had the G5 for about 5 weeks now, and I've had the RD-30 about a month so I finally installed them, along with a new P4 socket 775 560J (3.6Ghz) and a DFI 875P-T mobo (hybrid board, socket T but the 875 chipset). Anyway, I could not be happier. As I sit here with 2 instances of FAH running, P95 running and Photochop, load temps are reported to be 42C at 4341Mhz with 1.525v. Anyhow, it surprisingly took me a long while to redo this setup, you would think it would be easy but it wasn't so. Anyhow here are some piccies:

Note how small the RD-30 is, and the 24v psu above the HD's:

    PSU:

    Oh and:

That is sweet dude...I can't believe your temps nevermind the extremely low voltage and high clock you've achieved. Do you think you'll be able to go any higher?

Yes from a max 3, no only 2 loops.

Your setup is too brilliant... throw it out the window... it looks like no fun... lol
The RD-30 is so small amazing pump. But maybe cuz its so small it might also be dumping a little more heat in your setup.

I'll close my mouth now cuz my desk is getting kinda messy

vandread, according to cathars calculations its performance to heat ratio beats out all other pumps. I cant remember what its heat dump is though.

At 18V it dumps 23W with about a 7M head. I'm guessing at 24v it would dump about 40W - 45W with (not guessing at max head) 10M head.

24v is not overvolting, it is a 24v pump. 45W is NOTHING. Especially with a big rad.

bad@$$ work as usual nikhsub1 - very nice.

I love the UFO cases. I just finished one with a watercooling system and they have a ton of space in them -- I am going to get one of those for my own system when I get a chance.

edit - I sent this system to the owner via overnight UPS at his request. After he paid almost $300 for the overnight delivery, they damaged it of course...

nick i was saying that 18volts was undervolting.... i know it runs 24volts stock...

45watts is only nothing WITH a big rad. if running a single 120mm heatercore you'll be gettign screwed if you ran that pump at 24volts.. Not that anyone would ever do that, but im just saying..

And even with a dual 120mm rad i wouldnt want to put that on my system at 24volts. At 18volts it really rocks though.
