    Dothan on phase change

I connected my Dothan to my two stage cascade (a year old now) and took brought by scores up a notch.

I was able to beat my Pifast on the EE with ease and passed up almost all P4's on that test.

    150x20 3:5 DDR500 2-2-2-5

trying to get this bad boy stable over 3.1Ghz now

    Whats the bandwidth at 250?

    Nice...
But why not post a few 3dmark03/05 or game benches?
That seems the area where Dothan is easily beating the P4EE and FX-55.

Seems like the dothan chip has some problems with memory bandwidth.

If only intel can QUAD PUMPED BUS this little devil and place the memory controller on the CPU. This thing will KICK ASS.
Nice clocks and result there FUGGER! The divider seems to hurt the memory bandwith though.

afaik it has a quad pumped 100 mhz bus.

low bandwith --> no dual channel

the divider is needed to keep the mem running at high speeds because 180mhz is about the max you can get out of the chipset.

go check the dothan sticky in the intel forum

    gratz with the pifast score

and the dothan at 3.1 offc

:offtopic: how did you blow the voltage circuit on the dfi? is there a way of just disableing it so that one can use the booster and enable it when one is not using the booster?

because when (if ) I want to sell the board, I'm going to have a hard time selling it if the voltage circuit to the ram is busted

I need to break down and find the blown part to take a pic of it. The same result might come from just removing it.

My motherboard will not work without booster installed. Charlie has his working ok. but he might want to try it without booster

Lol, so true! I always thought I was pretty good at understanding computers until I came here... feel like a total newbie now, especially with Fugger, who may as well have won gold medal for the Olympics (if they did IT). 5 years running.

Are you implying he'd be any less proficient with overclocking it even if he didnt have it????

Many ppl here at XS had and still have rigs with better or more updated hardware than OPPs did but it was, like any other top OCer here, his skill that got him the top spot at 01se.

Please do understand the idea before making your arguments.
