Hyper Threading on every P4 NW

Yesterday i read over at vr-zone.com that someone was able to activate HT on a P4 NW 2,4(133x18).

I know I could be a engeneering sample of a 3.06 P4 without Multiplicator lock, but if it is able to add this feature with a little modding this would be cool. Did anyone of you heard anything else about this?

This Information are implanteted in the rom, so there is probably no way to disable it. Some other german hardwarepages mean this is a fake, but we'll see it if other non-3.06 Ghz Hyperthreading P4 will appear.

I don't think it's possible.

(a) Intel was clever enough to prevent "unlocking" their CPU

(b) we know since ever that all Pentium 4 are HT capable and that Intel kept it disabled due to marketing reasons so far. We have since beginning of this year HT capable boards (845E/845GE). Why this was not discovered before?
