Vgpu 6600GT hardware mod need help

Does anyone know or educated guess as to what size variable resistor
    used in this mod?

    Also where to measure vgpu?

Tried to email author, no luck.

Have a PCIe card, solder iron and 10k,50k,100k variable resistors in mail.
    Already have a digital multimeter.

Think I maybe have cracked it.

Measured the resistor on card to be 7.18K ohm. So a
10k variable resistor should do the job. Lower resistance
to get higher voltage. Got about 1.33v in 2d and 1.44v in 3d.

Got the card 5 hrs ago, grabbed a beer and got the waterblock installed.
So far 585/1228 artifact free no volt mods.

Now I only have to wait for the solder iron and resistors to arrive.

    Gone shoot for 640-660 he,he

Well, it's done. Have a not so good core. Max 620 at 1.777volt.
Have not tried higher, seems not worth it

Have to use a 100K ohm variable resistor.
    The article here
got me to try a 100K trimmer.

So a increase from 585-590 to 620, if a better core more to be gained.

Gone try some 3dmark runs around 2volt, think I'm gone down the core to
    600MHz after some benchmarking.

1.777volt even on water can't be good or?

    3dmark05 3575 compare

Have clocked it down to 612MHz and 1.61volt. Feel more
    comfortable with lower voltage.

Just wanne add that the resistor must be set to 100K before
you start the pc. Adjust ohm down to increase voltage.

Start 3d app in a window and overclock a little, adjust voltage
to get rid of artifacts. I find the app rthdribl perfect for this kind of adjustment.

All PCI-E that as the same layout (AFAIK, all PCI-e 6600GT brands as the same layout).
