in the evaporator assembly picture, there is one hydraulic like hose amongst the steel hoses. is there a difference between using the hydraulic type hose as opposed to a steel hose chilly1, or was that just some experimenting?
that is a parker speciality hose it is good for 2500 psi refrigeration. I use therse for my capillary tube systems sometimes

Rubber is fine for single stages but if your going cascade you should use at least corrugated stainless steel with a single stainless braid.
