FX53@3600mhz... WR?

@ only -95ºc (cascade cooling) we get this:

with only 1.45v (less than default):

with higher voltage:

OMG 3.5 with less than 2v, superpi and 3dmark stable
(25s but with only 225mhz on memory)

the max(well maybe not the max, we dont test higher):

we will wait for gigabyte board to start benching

stay tuned

yea kunaak, i was noticing the same thing... now, i'd just like to see a battle between that 6ghz prescott (well... at 5.4-5.6ghz benching) and the 3.5ghz fx-53.

in 3dmark2k1

with 9800xt's. (ok so they wont do that... but if they did that would depend more on the cpu methinks)

3.6 is realy insane hehee

it is a realy fast test, i think we get an superpi error on 18rd calc test @ 3.55ghz 1.95v, and the screenshot@ 3.6 is only 1 test time, we didn't try better

we will try better

Thanks

Traditionally I am lucky on CPU that I buy on the stores, but this FX-53 really exceed my wildest expections

Yesterday when I first test the CPU, was really amazed when it gave me 2.800Mhz ON AIR (AMD stock cooler), immediately I forecast a very good performance on the cascade ..but more than 3.500 fully benchable seems impossible to achived..

I can't imagine what we can achive with a decent motheboard ..and our X800XTPE at -100ºC

Here is a quick photo of the CPU used on the quick bench..

Thanks to Rui from Aquapc for the sponsoring of this CPU ..

More to come ...

1 small request.

DO a Hexus Pifast Benchmark and take number 1.
shouldn't even be a challenge at that speed.
I just wanna see what you get

We sure will do that in a few days, when the Gigabyte 939 arrives..

The Asus A8V was a big disappointment - no more than 2.9v on VMem (even with the mod) and serious high HTT problems. It is an Rev.2 but I suspect that the PCI lock problems persists..
To bad for Asustek, if these kind of flops continues they risk to loose the enthusiast high-end market for Gigabyte, Abit, DFI and others ..

I'm confident that we can achive near 3.600Mhz benchable with a few more VCore and, above all, a decent VMem voltage ..

So we will run Pifast this week, I just want to give my friend Tom fron Denmark a few more days of leadership...
