Februrary 28/29 - the Overclocker's Day!

Over at overclockers.ru, guys came up with an idea to have an Overclocker holiday. Like the day of the overclocker or something All sorts of professions have their own holiday, so how are WE different?

Seems like a great idea to me and many people agree. So we figured that it should be February 29 - the overclocked day of an overclocked year

And well, if so it happens that only February 28 is available - so be it. The last day of winter - the season of low temperatures and high overclocks.

And obviously, when February 29 comes along - major holiday

Are you guys in? Spread the word!

Why not? Overclockers.ru get a few tens of thousands of people every day. Now, when they put this up on the front page...

Actually about 100 people in the forums voted on this positively, so I figure it's gaining momentum. Let's let as many people as possible to know about this and let them decide

yea, do like me, and spread the word... doubtful that we will get a national holiday :P, but if we can get it posted at places like the inquirer, slashdot, etc... it will count for us,

I think it's a great idea. I'll just get naked, have a couple beers, and do a little overclocking to the Ramones.

Oh wait, that's what I do every other weekend... Oh well... one more time a year won't hurt me.

If that's how you like to count it. However, be advised that only you folks in North America think so. The rest of the world is Dec 1 to Feb 28/29.

I especially like the 29th cause it's the TRUE overclocked day

Its only those kind of things never really work.

Don't really see how anyone would go about celebrating. I don't really know if I'd want to be involved in an "overclockers party" no offense :P
However the words "Overclockers day special" do appeal to me

and how did days like "earth day" get created?

im pretty sure nothing like this will get publically recognized any time soon... but if we keep at it, it will happen sometime.
