    Signature Cartouche Help

Snurk has made me a signature cartouche, but it is 591x93 pixels. System requires 500 x 100 pixels. I tried Windows Office Picture manager, but it won't allow me to set that ratio. Will some kind soul help me. All of you have gone through this procedure without much trouble. What am I doing wrong?

Personally I didn't have to do any resizing at all. Snurk's sig picture is also self updating so if you try to save and manipulate it, it won't work.

What you need to do it use the link he gave you and put that straight into the sig control panel on the forum. That will link to the original rather than making a static copy of it.

Just enter the link (copy and paste is easier) into the box next to "option 1" in the control panel

    Attachment 113505

and click "save" at the bottom of the page.

Looks like D_A has the most straight forward way to do it.

I click on Quick Links > Edit Signature then the Yellow icon that is high lighted in blue enter the link address and click ok. Then Save Signature.
You can alos enter quotes, witticisms and pics of the kids, since there are now fewer than there were April 1....

Ok, don't enter the picture. You have to use the original link from SNURK.

    Code:
    http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af195/wcgsig/682435.gif
Put this in the Option1 box I pointed out above.

Thank you guys for all your help. I played around with resizing that signature for a while. Now its either installed or I resigns myself to having no signature.

Ma'am, don't do that. Seriously. The image will not work properly.

If you save the image to your system it will not update as it is designed to do.

Copy the link and paste it into the box and it will work.

    Do this:

    Attachment 113532

Enter the link into the box that I've put the pink box around and click "Save Signature"

    Hi Dave's Mom
the signature didn't work for either, the only way I've managed to have it there was according to the PoppaGeek's method. Cheers )

Ok, I checked and my procedure does indeed trip the size limits. Poppageek's procedure works perfectly for this image. Use that.

All I did was enter the URL into the signature editor text box and put [ IMG ]URL_here.gif[ /IMG ] tags around the URL from the WCG forums (without the spaces in between the brackets and text).

I tried adding it to my own sig just now to verify, and it previewed fine in user control panel.

Right, I had to come over and see this for myself.
Turns out that entering the link to the image like D_A said does indeed not work (anymore). Images wider than 500 pixels are not allowed.
Then tried to enter the image like PoppaGeek and it_is_me pointed out, in the top big editbox I entered:

    [IMG]http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af195/wcgsig/428530.gif[/IMG]

This very post will show if this was succesfull.

    edit: And ideed it works!
Now if a newbie like me can do it surely Dave's Mom can.

    Now Dave,

Fix that young lady's signature, don't make me have to come up there and get ya.

Just remove the spaces between "[IMG]" and "[/IMG]".
