    "V2" Koolance *Dual D-5* Bay Reservoir! (RP-452X2)

I'm pleased to announce our newest version of the dual 5.25", single/dual D5 pump reservoir: RP-452X2. We've incorporated much of the feedback given on our RP-450X2. (We'll also be releasing a model for single/dual DDC's later this month-- thread here.)

The description is similar to RP-450X2, and I'll bullet-point the key differences after that:

Easily combine Koolance's highest flow pumps into dual or serial/redundant loops! RP-452X2 is a dual 5.25" bay reservoir designed for one or two Koolance PMP-450 or PMP-450S pumps (not included). Using a convenient bottom plug, the front reservoirs can be separated or combined without disassembling the unit. Both front and top fill ports are available for each reservoir.

    Key differences vs. last model:
    • The two reservoirs in front can be left completely separated or combined into one tank. This allows either dual/parallel or serial REDUNDANT loops.
    • We've added a bottom plug that allows the reservoirs to be combined or separated without disassembling the unit.
    • Front (black) fill ports! There's still top fill ports for each reservoir as well.
    • We were able to add 2mm more to the distance between rear nozzle sockets. Hopefully, this will provide better support for 3rd-party nozzles.
    • To assist with loop-backs on the rear of the product, an optional 180º connecting pipe is available (included with Rev.2.0).
    • This was added into the RP-450X2 later in its production, but we've kept the front printing on the RP-452X2 smaller and less obtrusive.

Materials are the same, solid acetal with acrylic/aluminum bezel, nickel-plated brass fittings and EPDM o-rings.

Ok, on to the pictures (latest revision 2.0 shown):

Any changes to the pump head or volute from the 450X2?

The inside acrylic partitions and inlet/outlet locations are different than 450X2. I'm checking on this and requested some dimensional drawings.

my 450X2(s) aren't even a week old. Quite an improvement of usability for $10 more.

Quagmire LXIX: I'm sure original 450X2 won't let you down too much. They hold enough of good features/and look good enough to bring many "Oh-s" out from LC crowd as well. As for these .. you can consider them for next build, when current box will be old enough to not regret giving it to wife

Also Quagmire, consider that if you are running two original 450X2's in one rig then you already have the beauty of two loops (maybe with color). To take full advantage of the looks of these new models you would want four loops with four different colors. While your U2-UFO is pretty big, thats craming a too much in there. I have to admit though, I cant want to see somebody post pics of four loops with four colors under UV and make it look good. Wish I could afford to do that, lol. ^_^
At Xtremesystems.org we don't help you save money on your cooling gear, instead we try to make you feel better about the insane ammount you've spent.

Thanks, guys. We're hoping it addresses all of the major feature requests made vs. the RP-450X2. These won't be the last 5.25" reservoir products we offer.

No worries fellas, but thanks, I was just at the timing, not . I had a wiff of a revision ahead since someone did say in a thread they were waiting for the redundant feature, I just didn't pursue it.

They both look great and the 450X2s work boss in the Qube, but had I known when they were coming, I would have waited and paid $20 to have them give me a redundant option for safety, on top of the options I have with the 450X2.

No color for me though, I'm distilled/nuke wc'er.

lol, next build? If I really want the redundant feature, I'll swap them out on this build as I just replaced perfectly working dual bay res's with the 450X2s. My desktop has nothing to do with cost efficiency

Love the masculine, industrial look of this res. Tim, what do you recommend for fittings running two d5s in series?

Currently, you could connect one pump's outlet to the others inlet using 90º fittings and tubing. However, we'll be offering an easier way to do this soon.

hey Tim , You going to make the same reservoir for DDC pumps?

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

I received this Bay res yesterday and im having issue's with the directions there really bad. Other issue i have 2 pumps in the res and guess what the you cannot run the pump in series after i just paid $120 to do that. connecting the in and out with 90s fittings do not work because the in and out are so close together im not happy with this product at the time

Why not use some tubing/barbs to connect the 2 ports together?

It’s not, the weight of the two pumps is compressing the sponge.
