The power consumption is quite good, slightly lower than the 965.

Better and cheaper CPUs are always good news, but shall we call this dumping-sale before SB hits the marked and makes all of them look outdated? Or what?

considering they did it with a lower power draw, its clearly a part worthy of the SKU, not some 140W desperate attempt

Bumping the MHz up and lowering the TDP and price down. AMD is doing that for a long time now.

Pretty excited about the 970 BE. All 3 in, fact. But I can actually see a 970 BE in my system in the near future. Should tide me over until BD.

Same old thing from AMD. Let's see some BD action already.
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

That 970 BE looks like a great enthusiast chip. Not a high-end price, but high stock speeds an unlocked multiplier for untold fun.

i understand that the 970 BE looks to be a nice chip because the TDP is now lower at 125w

but with the better and more refined IMC of Thuban based cpus for memory OC is it really worth it?

id personally go with the 1055t over the 970BE

Anyone know what happened to the rumor that there would be 970's that unlocked into 6-core chips? There's a bunch of reviews and nary a word.

Anyone notice that in anand's review, every single game bench of the 1075T scores higher than the 1090T?

i was just about to say that

seems to be true over at overclockers as well

    http://www.overclockers.com/amd-phen...source=pr1075t

hmm could be different drivers, not sure if they used older results for the 1090t or tested all of them the same session

wow, I am impressed with the reduced power consumption at 3.5Ghz. I wonder if the transisters where tweaked to get the low power consumption, sacrificing OC.

what you are asking doesnt make sense ... it will help overclockability for sure ... less power = more headroom ... simple as that

Why would an OC to 3.9GHZ be unimpressive on the 970? (TPU)
