    Benching Core i5 680

In my country (Brazil) i very hard to fing good hardware.
I thought I had been very lucky to have got a Core i5 680.
I got good results with the Core i5 670, which allowed me to run SPi 1M @ 6750 Mhz, wPrime @ 6550 Mhz and other very good 2D tests.
I thought the 680 would be better then a 670, but is a big mistake.
I'm really disappointed, because the processor has coldbug less than 120ºC
The best I got was this.

I know I'm talking about a unity and is possible another releases will be amazing for overclocking, but was on the workbench most boring I've ever done.
I hope that the i5 680 series does not disappoint as was the case with the E8700 (which everyone thought was a great launch and overclocking was a failure).
    Only one outburst

Dude relax. Couldn't it be that it's just not a good CPU, and better ones are about to come?

Anyways, congrats rbuass, it's the first thread I come across regarding that CPU

basically despite the multiplier there is nothing new on that chip so I don't get why some of u think these chip can be any better than 670's...and there has been done much much more testing with much much much much more 670 chips and this is only one (unfortunatly crappy) 680 we've seen so far so don't be disappointed and wait for some more of them beeing tested...but I think 670's can't be beaten easy...
let's face it: even with free multiplier you need to run 250+ bclk to get the right performance out of thoose chips if they would unlock uncore multiplier that would be interesting though

    rbuass,
What can she do on air?
I'm looking for a good i5 chip that can do 5ghz on air.

this is currently the best I can do with a i3 530 on air.

Little bit better...but still keep lots of problems (CB-CBB and BIOS's bugs)

But...i think will come new batchs, bios and handpicked CPUs to turn 680 the faster

rbuass Good overclock! How about increase Vcore? Your cpu is degradated or not? I touched only one i5 661 ES, and after test on ln2 it didn't load Windows on default Vcore. Only on 1.25V installed manually.

Forgive for my English because I only learn it
