    Talking Homemade GTX480 block and watercooled PC case

    Ive put a lot of hours into this case and Im generally pretty happy with the outcome....I originally wanted to do a work log but that went down the drain... take a look

    now to the fermi part..Im not sure but it looks like Im getting better temps than most of the blocks Ive seen on xs, maybe because Im running gpu only block with aluminum sink on vregs.....anyways here are the results

    stock clocks 33c idle 44c load 24c ambient

    time to push a little harder 850 core with 1.05v ran kombustor for 12min 47c max... ambient temp was 24c for both stock and oc run

    Ill see how far the 480 will go and post some results soon

    Kenjiwing its funny you mentioned that because they are almost the same size

    WhiteFireDragon Ive been bulding custom furniture for years now so I have all the tools needed to machine wood and metal ....and I have a dremel too

    Question for the 480 owners..did you bother checking how flat the hs was ?
    mine was concave pretty bad, almost wanted to lap but that would kind of kill the warranty

    From the first picture I just assumed that you lined a tj09 with wood, but....just...wow! For as basic as that case build is, its VERY nice with a clean look.

    @Shtrafenhoofen

    Really nice build. Can I ask what type of wood did you use? What are your temps with the case closed?

    Are you planning to make the design public?

    Looks like he used 1/2" MDF for the main portion of the case.

    You are the guy that created a thread some time ago about how to create a block, is that correct? This photo remind me...

    BTW, astonishing build. At first I was like OMFG a modded TJ07 in a different way than most...only to realise its a wooden one! Nice!

    Could you show more photos, please?

    Very nice work. It looks great. I've had a wood case build sitting on the back burner for some time now. Seeing this makes me want to get it in motion. FIrst I have to finish my current build.
