Hmm... I have the same batch 980x (2 of the same batch acctually.) The one I run on air kinda sucks. I have a prolamidtech megahlins with push pull high speed gentle typhoons. This SS is with the chip running 24/7 on the WCG. At night the office its sitting in is not air conditioned and temps are getting quite high. My 3003A885 on water does 4.13GHz at just under 1.3v and temps in the 50's.

Man I love seeing six cores @ 100% load on WCG (BOINC).

Now put that beast under some good water.

Which voltages in particular? Vcore was 1.4. I had my memory running at 800mhz (6-6-6-18) stock vtt and 1.65vdimm.

I have two 980x's both batch 3003A885. One is under great water at my house in the US and one i use here in china as my office computer. On water the 980x will run 4.5GHz at 1.411v and temps are fine. Here on air I have much higher ambients and I thing my case airflow sucks.

I don't want to use a water cooled computer as an office computer and it's just impossible to find water cooling parts here. Even in Hong Kong I don't even know where to find any quality cooling parts, water or air. (Damn you Americans back in America with access to good Internet resellers! ps. Whatever host pulsar is using is blocked by the 'Great Firewall' I had to look this up on my foreign iPhone to bypass that )

trn: There are three retail shops that I know of in Hong Kong with watercooling gear, although the range is very limited. There is also a couple of e-stores based in Hong Kong with WC stuff:
    e-store: http://linkecomputer.com/
    e-store: http://www.bitspower.com.hk/catalog/index.php

    Retail stores:
http://shop.ocqq.com/ - Shop is in Sham Shui Po, not in Golden Plaza, behind it, address is on the website
http://www.pcbulb.com/index.php?language=en - Shop is in 398 Hennessy Rd
Also one in Wan Chai Computer Center (near the MTR).

However, all are very small, with limited stock and expensive. You are better off ordering from the US imo (although linke isn't terrible).

Sorry for the OT.... I had terrible trouble finding this stuff when I was in HK.
