Hi all, i've updated the newest bios but my 980X still show only 4 cores, any advice?
Thanks
CPU: 2x Xeon 5680 @ 4.30 GHZ
RAM: 12GB Corsair Dominator GT
Mobo: EVGA SR2
VGA: 3-way SLi GTX580
LCD: Dell U3011 + Dell Ultrasharp 3007WHP-FC
PSU: Corsair 1200AX + Corsair 1000HX
Cooling: Custom WC
If using Win 7
This seems like a somewhat common problem in Windows 7, the solution I've seen most often successful is:
1) Start > Msconfig
2) Boot Tab > Advanced Options
3) Manually Select 12 processors and reboot.

And just an FYI some people have said they don't have anything more then 4 cores as on option in the drop down box so Unchecking the number of processors box normally fixes the core issue after reboot.
