Thumbs up GIGABYTE X58A-UD9 doing some W.R. 2D/3D damage on ORB & HWBOT

Hi guys

GIGABYTE is preparing a new top end board to the market called X58A-UD9 and had a small OC event to help improve the bios for us extreme OCers.

W.R.s went down in 2D & 3D in the last few days when bioses got better and better. I'm sure that even a big sceptic like Mr.PigBloodCake can tell you it's improved a hell of a lot. UD9 looks very strong now.

Andre you are a legend man, dont change
Nick & Elmor champion Ocers
James...did you get arrested in Sydney i saw your suitcase being pulled apart in customs...3 ppl looking at your F1 pot
Cookie get some sleep man...i cant believe you only get 2 hours a day and still live

Thanks to GIGABYTE motherboard and VGA team, Antec & Corsair for their support.

btw guys

from left to right > hicookie, youngpro, AndreYang, NickShih, dinos22, elmor

Sorry cant post the new board shots yet...

ORB W.R. Damage with GIGABYTE 5870 SOC Cards.
http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/

lol check out the 06 score with a Q9400 and Nvidia GTS250 > 58K...nice one Futuremark

SOC single result showed off some high clocking GIGABYTE 5870SOC action too...very nice

Elmor did a great job with the SuperPi W.R.
The bios has improved significantly for SuperPi with about an 8 second gain on air from the time i tested another 6.5GHz chip with a similar time (too bad the chip is dead...88 CPU dead CPU dead says Andre lol)

The board looks promising... What's so special about it?
In any case, looks like it's going to be between RIIIE and UD9 on extreme front soon!

Great job btw!

Great to meet up with you guys! It was a pleasure to meet Andre and Nick.

Good 3D results are a bit lacking because we had some trouble with the VGAs in 4-way CF, but the 5870 SOC sure are awesome. Check this single card

Also did some PiFast:

And a quick 1M:

(lacking a bit of NB there)

I'm not the best tweaker around but the board is fast enough already. Regarding the 32M it should have been Dino and James who got the WR, you did great work and got crazy effieciency. Thanks for all the pointers

spandex??? Mr.Mankini
Well seems first off I got the name of UD9 wrong.... I expected it being UD8 (for obvious reasons).....

Jon, is that CPU in Sweden??? That thing is truely UNHOLY! Its a monster..... Sorry if this seems a bit bashy, but, how good are those results compared to the R2E you made in Kista? Would be great if you could do a compare, as far as I know, the new UD7 BIOS has changes for effeciency, I'll be damned if the UD9 isnt atleast as effecient
