    B2 already, very nice
Also good to see the Tpower supporting it, Biostar might be a viable option for me in the future, with DFI and Abit down...

4ghz on the stock cooler ? Now that would be nice
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I had a similar cpu with me but i am sure that it was not B2 tough, later i was told cpuz was reading 1 core because of the BIOS.

This is wrong i dont know why wprime reads my speed as 5ghz while its 5.2ghz??

Also i noticed that chilled water had little effect around this speed, i had a better experience with the older stepping around 5.1ghz under water.

As far as i know these are the first shots of a i7 980x B0, also JC can you change the title of the thread to include this!!

I would love a 980X but I find the price is just unjustifiable. I wonder if the heatsink will come with the non extreme versions of Gulftown, though I admit that heatsink does look nice, better than the standard POS heatsink.

980X really needs water for speeds around 4-4.2ghz because the dam thing run very hot, well at least the A0 did.

LN2 ya thats the way to go, i hope this can OC better than the A0 which already did quite well under LN2

That's what it came with. However, since this is "ES", I am not sure what Intel will bundle with their "retail" box cpu...

Let's hope it's the same =)...they're good stock coolers

Ive had both A0 and the 980.

My 980X does 4.4 @ 1.387Vcore with HT on like Pie.

My A0 required @ least 1.42 vcore for that range..
So yes, the B steppings are beasts.

One wierd thing i noticed tho... The A0's like a higher QPI vs the B's unless im seriously doing something wrong... :\

Not the new Q4EG B1 Stepping...cool as a cucumber...only 6 degrees above room temp at idle...never goes above 55C on full 100% load...very nice chip! Hoping for 4.6 24/7....We'll see....It will probably do it, but at voltages I am not comfy with...
