So, I heard something about a launch, sent an email to AMD, and a few hours I went and picked a brand new CPU up... Turned out to be a Phenom II X2 555. I was of course so eager to get going so I didn't take any pics of it, but it looks just like any other Phenom II, manufactured somewhere around week 30, so it's quite old by AMD standards. C3 stepping of course... And here are my few results:

Main idea was to do some 3D. One core was way better than the other, NB frequency was about 4200MHz. 6300MHz '05 was doable though.

Then of course, some SuperPI 1M action. Crappy ram, hence the time, but I suppose you'll excuse me.

It turned out it was unlockable as well, which was fun and all, but I wasn't expecting it to perform anywhere near good, despite doing about 4GHz with all cores at ~10 degrees Celsius... Come the higher frequencies though, it's good, but understandably not 965-good.

A few rig pics:

Would anybody be interested in seeing me bench for a while (two and a half hours), there's a video of it. Nothing really serious, just done for fun to give an overview of stuff: http://www.nordichardware.com/news,10623.html
Also, the system specs are quite off due to last minute changes... Here's the complete system:
