Promising results...I'm wondering what this mobo can do on LN2. All the guys who are benching on high Mhz(6G+), they do this on EVGA's mobos.
Keep 1Ming it lol

very nice indeed Byter. i just got mine today but no board till monday. my retail is: L939B675/ ver E81102-001 /DATE 12/07/09

********current leaderboard as of 1/15/10****************

you're in second place....but not for long (im just joking) but seriously as soon as that board gets here on monday i'll be cutting insulation. i'm very curious to see how the retail chip does next to the engineering samples.
may the best chip win.

btw what is your temp on this ss? wtf? I went back and read your first post and saw the 2nd is dice @5456 and then your last screen is @5588 back on single stage. did you turn off HT for that last single stage shot or just found the sweet spots in the bios? What were the differences in temps from your ss and dice? looking at the slot colors and sb sink I am assuming that is a P7P55D PRO?

IMO this thing has got to be the best deal i've seen yet. i3 530 w/hyper threading, P7P55D deluxe (open box) and 2x2gb cas7 eco 12800 for just under $400
ive got my work cut out for me. I've been on am3 since july and finally got fed up with amd chipets. so this is my 1st shot with intel since core2. If you can give me any prerequisite bios tips or strange quirks you discovered i'd really appreciate it. I want to get in the game as soon as possible. I'm not asking for the Colonel's secret recipe. Just the main ingredients.

Nice work guys, looking at a Intel Core i3 530 Setup my self. What ram have you found to overclock well?

I was looking at CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 , http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145260 , but will it overclock well?

Heck, looking at this board as well, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188062 EVGA 123-CD-E635-KR , as I have a budget.

Thanks

undrog this is what I went with. I haven't played with them yet. I thought the a board and mem wasn't getting here till monday but I just tracked them and the were delivered to me yesterday and I didnt think to look in the package room.
so 1st thing tomorrow i'm gonna start playing. I haven't messed with anything like low volt kits since all the ddr3 I have right now is all D9 and Elpida high vlotage stuff. I bought just 1 2x2 kit for now and if they prove to be worthy I can always get another kit later. I'm originally from st paul. I see a fellow minnesotan.. you need to do some subzero air cooling for us you get your chip/

Oh, I was looking at this also,
G.SKILL Trident 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231282

Or at a higher cost, G.SKILL PIS Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...600CL7D-4GBPIS

Never played with ram that needs a cooler, though, lol.

after reading about that ram you linked, seems 1800 is possible, but big strength in nice timings.

I would but I haven't lived in that god forsaken hell hole of cold since 1996. I'm in New York City now.

hmm? I recommend you steer clear of those. 7-10-10-28 2t is not exactly big strength in nice timings but if you can get them to do something like this: http://forum.nexthardware.com/galler...hp?n=12112&w=o then yeah I think they are worth going for. sure we could ask a guy in the ico cas 7 thread and ask them for a quick test just to be sure.

touch call, maybe the F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD, would be a better option.

I just know that in my experience , ram is your normal limiting factor, in how far you can push you clock these days.

I'd still take on the phone if you want to share your thoughts.

When do you think you'll put together your system?

okay I got it all prepped. man i need to get some kneadable erasers. tracing socket templates and cutting neoprene is fun and all but not the best use of time. I'm gonna try a few stock cooler runs to get used to clocking the board/mem combination. The Byter must not be feeling very generous with giving advice these days with the economy the way it is. I guess i'm on my own.

thats still pretty damn good for single stage. I just got the UD6 yesterday and Im still messing with it.

why didnt you submit it? You should have 7th place.

my run got all messed up that night on the p7p55d dlx. i hit the overvoltage switch at the top by mistake while the board was booting and killed the board. 530 still seems to work. I'm curious was curious about the native clarkdale h55/h57 boards so I bought a few to compare to the p55.
I after I killed the p7p dlx I bought a msi gd65. that board sux so badly on clarks. do not buy that board! ud6 seems good but still having a hard time getting my cas to set with the gskill evo. which brings me to my next question. what is the best ddr3 kit for clarksdale at the moment?
hope to have some luck soon. Anyone have any luck with the maximus III on clarks? should i bother insulating or is the board a waste of time on clarksdale?

Do they really need that kind of vcore?
When i was benching mine with SS i didnt see a increase above 1,5v. So with 1,5v set in bios i could get 5,5ghz screen and bench sp 1mb at about 5,4ghz
