    A-DATA XPG Plus DDR3 2200 CL8 2.0

We all now how Elpida Hyper MNH-E IC's are, and we all know the importance of binning when it comes to special high-end kits. And of course, since September, we have seen some tests with this kit, and the results were amazing in each test. Well, I have these kits from August, but I really did not have time to really put them to work untill now. Sure, I have benched with them I have used them in all of my P55 tests and reviews, but I was too busy with tests and reviews for all the technologies we have had this autumn so I did not have time to test them. A while ago a colleague of mine hit some very interesting clocks with another Hyper based kit, and then I remembered and I said to myself - "Hey, this is one killer hyper kit, I should make some time to really push it". So I took a small break from HWBot Country CUP, HD5xxx benching and my P55 round-up, and I was on to find out what this kit is really all about. And boy, oh boy , was I in for a surprise...

With the 18x Uncore multi used on Lynnfield i870/i860 CPU's, the memory is no longer Uncore limited like it was on X58 platforms, therefor the CPU cooling does not play such an important part like it did in TriChannel kit testing. However, after some air-runs, I had the SS mounted for some other tests anyway, so I left the rig like it was, with SS, even if the impact on memory overclocking is not significant on P55.
