i'm excited for these processors; they could be one reason to bring gaming back to PC... fast and cheap w/ a nice MB solution they are perfect for HTPC.

Can you post an Everest memory benchmark please? Wonder if 4.7~4.8GHz ~1.4v on i5-660 will be the avg, if so I might swap this i7-860 for one. 1.4v VTT seems rather high though, do you need that high VTT for the RAM or 216 bclk? I need high VTT as well for my cpu, 1.36v for 21 x 195 bclk lol. Luckily the i5-660 comes with 25x multi so wouldn't be bclk limited at least.

How come they are so slow in mem performance? What's B2B set to? I thought these would be as fast as Lynnfield. Even if that mem config isn't any good I still expected to see 20k for that high cpu speed.

Core i3 have a memory controller integrated in the IGP part, not in the CPU part; it's exactly the same controller that P45 chipset.
This is why memset work on Core i3, and not CPU-Tweaker...

how is it the same controller? its a 45nm part that connects to the cpu through qpi and p45 is 65nm and connects with an AGTL+ bus. they even have a different amount of pci-e lanes. The controller couldn't be identical and use a different bus to communicate with the cpu.

dfi's mini itx plus one of these, seems like it'd be a pretty perfect match. i wanna see if hyperthreading is more useful on a dual core, anyway we can get some benches of that?

...when I said "the same", I meant that Core i3 use the same system registers (MCHBAR) that P45 chipset.
All addresses and bits are the same, I have practically nothing to do for updating memset with this CPU...
