What can this under-100-dollar CPU offer? Let's see

Handpicked an CACYC with BPMW0939 stepping

Boring to see, no L3 cache, and no fourth core...

    -UPDATE2-

Well, i was quite sure that the CPU would crach, but no... 3.4GHz and still 1.250v, or exact 1.240v:

More to come... Next stage is to see if 3.5 or 3.6GHz @ same vcore is possible. Smells good over 4Ghz

lol it looks like u got yourself a 965 x4 that was re binned to meet demand (i would have to think to get that clock on that voltage), but why the low HT link speed?

Is it not better long term to have a low HT link speed? I ask cause I am toying with the X4 620 @ 3419Mhz and got the HT Link around 1052Mhz

Max stable frequency is 3450MHz in prime on 1.24v (stock vcore) now it's time to see how it scales with higher vcore. I think that is quite impressive for this X3 425

When OC to find max stable frequency it's important to eliminate all other factors so nothing else stops. Hypertransport bus speed is hardly important in a consumer-pc, even under real use.

Are these easy to come by? It doesn't look like they are flying off the shelves.

Hmm. Seeing what kind of voltage for 4 GHz...it really makes me want to take that Sempron 140 back from my dad. 3.9 GHz stable on the stock Sempron heatsink w/gigabyte 785gm-us2h at 1.4v. New heatsink + better board for tweaking = oh man.
    Computer:
    Case: Corsair 750D Airflow Edition
    Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus X570 Ultra
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 2x16gb @ stock
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900x
Graphics: Evga GTX 1080 FTW, Coil Whine edition
    PSU: Corsair RMi 650w
Cooling: Please don't remind me. Corsair H115i w/Arctic P14 PWM fans.
HDD: 970 Pro, 860 Evo, WD 1tb 3 platter drive (12 years old?!), etc.

The PWM on the MSI 790GX Platinum was now up in smoke, so I throwed in an Gigabyte 790X-UD3P. See how it goes then... maybe higher OC.

Time sucks, but just to test how far I I could lower the vcore with 4GHz freq

Also, this Gigabyte board is not as good as the earlier MSI DKA790GX Platinum I had.
