Thx, i've been waiting for this
# X-Mode (dual mixture of NVIDIA and ATI graphic cards)
3DMark Vantage
3DMark06
Batman Arkham Asylum (including benchmark)
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty World At War
F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin
Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising
Aaaaa, this list is tooo small IMHO hope they increase the number of games. I was thinking a combo of GTX275 with 4870 would be interesting to see but it appears that limited no of games support such a combo.
The ATi+Ati or Nvidia + Nvidia list is quite healthy now we just need this vs Crossfire and Sli charts. The other thing i did not like much was the fact you need Win 7 for the Ati + Nvidia combo and XP is not supported at all but then again its more of Microsoft's fault than these guys.
Coming Soon
Clearly not what a lot of people thought it was... a "magical" chip that does it all..
whats the mystery IO chip near the P55 did that nf200 bastard sneak in there

Great. So instead on depending on Crossfire/SLI-drivers we now depend on Hydra-driversThis doesn't improve dual-setups a bit, only makes it worse imho.
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks
now i know why nvidia welcomed them to the market.... and ati didn't said a thing about it...
and cool more drivers!! ^_^

So it is even worse than some feared...
Exactly what can Hydra do the others cant?
SLI / Crossfire not scaling properly? It has already been shown that Hydra is not perfect for that.
SLI / Crossfire requiring constant driver updates to even work with games? Hydra will require them as well.
Run a ATI and a Nvidia card at the same time? Just buy a 5xx0 series card and you don't need two...

not very impresive yet but I still have allot of faith in the tech. Give it some time, Im sure it will get much better.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
Lucid test over at pcper, compare to sli scaling.

Nor is it the unicorn a bunch of other people thought it was.
Apparently the magical thinking from both sides didn't pan out. It turns out it is just another imperfect product that has to compete with a market full of other imperfect products.

Hmm.. Interesting...Important
If you use NVIDIA + ATI GPUs combination, it is recommanded installing the NVIDIA graphic card to the first PCI-E x16 slot.![]()
OMFGWTFBBQ! nvidia in the first slot???? you know what that means....

Great so now we can get Crap drivers from Nvidia, ATI, and Hydra. I remember when you could actually play your games and they all looked good for the technology at the time. Now its like we have 2009 hardware with 2004 drivers.
i3 2100, MSI H61M-E33. 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws.
MSI GTX 460 Twin Frozr II. 1TB Caviar Blue.

i love how alot of you are judging brand new tech from a start up company (and the tech isnt out in retail yet) compaired to a very mature sli/xfire from giant corporations with more money than they know what to do with. instead of bashing them off the bat at least wait a year before you judge them. if any of you ever want to do some research find a review of sli when it was first introduced. it wont be pretty
They are finishing the dx11 drivers. It seems the dx 10.1 drivers took longer than they though, so dx11 is running late!
No point in releasing a Win 7, mobo without it. Thus the delay.
So, I suspect until that's done (Windows7 sticker + MSI big bang compliance), some time around summer, Lucid's engineers are hurriedly writing drivers for the most popular games in the mean time?, so the HYDRA supports them right away..? er..? possible?

i sure hope they develop their dx11 drivers quicker than the summer. dirt comes out in december? (which i know wont be supported off the bat) i would however like them to have dx11 drivers by the time battlefield bad company 2 comes out in march![]()
