Dragon Platform Technology Bares New Fangs with New AMD Phenom™ II X4 965 Black Edition 125W Processor and ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 Series Graphics

    November 05, 2009 06:00 PM Eastern Time

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--AMD’s (NYSE: AMD) acclaimed Dragon Platform Technology for desktop PCs has enjoyed its rampage, blazing through the latest games and shattering world records without pillaging your wallet. Now, Dragon Technology bares new fangs with highly efficient AMD Phenom™ II X4 965 Black Edition processors capable of soaring to new heights in performance for less than $200 SEP. These processors arrive with equally fearsome companions: award-winning ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 series graphics processors equipped with ATI Eyefinity multi-monitor technology2 and DirectX 11-capable graphics for a spell-binding visual experience. The time has come to experience the gaming realism, immersive entertainment, and outstanding value of Dragon Platform Technology...

For my own part, trying to get my head above water, now trying to think ahead. Anyone want to do Vegas again? In the meantime enjoy the video, couldn't give credit to everyone who deserves it but the legacy of prior vidoes plus this does some justice.

I've been working on my A/V Console (work in progress shots @ The Omnixedia linq' below) and its finally done. Trying to find time to play some games, watch some films.

On the tech front C3 and an abundance of graphics ownage have made for some good days. Eyefinity continues to get better with more game support and I have had the good fortune to play with some of these pre-release. As C3 moves through the product line we are going to see a lot of happiness even for those with scarce $. Thought on central computing is ongoing and I'll have more on that in the usual place.

Anyone wondering about the H2O help thread, just a bit more patience...

UPDATE - Dragon Age: Origins EYEFINITY patch is out! Download Here - http://social.bioware.com/game_patches.php

Was wondering to myself, but you never look a gift horse in the mouth. Besides, I never thought my simple setup would be worthy of any sort of gift or helpful in any way.

edit: Saving up my pennies for a new 5850. My 9800gt is getting long in the tooth and I've always had Ati until now.

Good stuff. Always dig the video's you guys come up with. I can't wait to see how much further these cpu's can be pushed now that C3 has debuted.

I also really enjoy the work you're doing with The Omnixedia as well.

Thanks for sharing Simon, but where is link for HQ version for us HD maniacs?

Also new AOD 3.1 is excellent in almost every way! The only bit I would like to see improved is vNB to stay at adjusted level in all p-states as this part of CPU always operates at full speed (C2). Anyway for people like me using C'n'Q for everyday browsing this build is a major improvement! In previous build every time you enabled C'n'Q all voltage adjustment were lost and reverted to default p-state values.

Now I can enjoy 3.8GHz 1.425V under load and 925MHz 1.0V (230HTT) in idle without bothering to change my power plan constantly!

I continue to be a fan of the AOD support for CNQ with unlocked procs. It was my one major feature request and Macci & dev team obliged.

The HD button on the video control bar activates YouTube HD and the video quality is about as good as the source file.

If you guys want the HD version I'll get is posted for download, in fact, I could get the entire collection posted.

I have been using the new AOD with CnQ enabled in Win 7 64bit. I have profiles setup for games apps etc. The OCing from the profiles along with CnQ work flawless, even on the 550BE x2 unlocked to x4. Are there going to, or are there already stock profiles for apps and games?
