Where do I add the washer to increase mounting pressure?

I feel stupid but.. I've got my computer in parts and am trying to use Vapor's advice to get the Fusion v2 to get better mounting pressure...

One suggestion is to add washers but.. where? Between backplate and mobo or between screw and block?

My guess is you would want it to be between the topplate and the head of the screw, touching one side of the spring. You want the distance where the spring is under compression to be shorter.

    Two places will work:

    1) Above the spring, below the head of the thumbscrew.
    2) Below the spring, above the mounting plate.

    Okay a followup

How do I get a washer in there? I can't actually pull the screw out of the plate to add the washer in there

You need to pop the clip off that's holding in that's under the bracket.

    Needle nose pliers.

Just close the pliers, stick it in the opening of the little clamp, and open the pliers

    I prefer a screw driver.

Bojam, this should ease your worries.

Well I decided to try and do it and it was the screwdriver that did it. Otoh, compression fittings are a paint and all mi fingers are shredded.

What size should be the washers? Is there any chance to bend the motherboard?
