    Gigabyte EP45T-Extreme Vcore mod

Well i need Vcore mods for this board, this boards cpu pwm is going to vgpu. Yea the board is fryed, DDR3 slots are mute so i cannot use BIOS.

Board should have this PWM controller, but need to check that when i get to home:

Took screwdriver, multimeter and isl6336s datasheet to my hands and started to measure where VID pins are connected to. Well here's what was able to find this far =P

Hmm added Vcore measuring connector (molex) and tried mobo w/o mods, well it gives around 1.1V voltage for short time and then shuts down. Well little research done (opens datasheet) tells me that i don't have any load on pwm so that's the reason, so i need to add around ~2W dummy load to each phases but it's not neccesary, i'll do little more modding and then test the situation

Why don't You use FB pin?
Basically the same as EP45-DQ6: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=204968
200k ohm VR should work, but recheck the def resistance between FB (pin 16) and GND.

    Nice! Thanks

I've some stuff i need to do for this board:
    - Remove OVP
    - Add dip which for pwm amount selection yes there's option for that on the isl6336
    - Cut it smaller, now this will be interesting, well just will the boards pwm start after that. Tho i still need add one molex connector for isl6336s power supply, iirc it uses 5V line for that.

If I remember correct, there wasn't OVP on my board. It seems the OVP pin is not connected.

You can place local LDO to make 5V from 12V molex connector, and get rid of external 5V. You can use 7805 freely here.
To use this PWM alone, you should have EN_PWR above 0.875V, and EN_VTT above 0.875V too.
Also take attention to DAC and REF signals. It's possible that on gigabyte there is external VREF generation.

    So that's quite easy controller.

You try to fire up the board without BIOS and CPU?
Just make the regulator idle arround and use this power supply for an external device?

    Thats sounds very interesting...

Do you know some voltages on the mainboard, which follow the VCore?
Or it is possible to desolder the coils from each phase and replace the whole power supply section on the mainboard with another one?
