    Acard 9010 single drive on ich10r benches

    Good evening,

    Acard 9010 single drive on ich10r benches - small 4GB drive (2x2GB)

    Test system is i7 965 on Gigabyte extreme mobo, 3x1GB G. Skill 2000/C9, 2xGTX295 Quad SLI (koolance blocks), cpu and vc's water cooled via 2xBoreas all in series. Boot drive via mtron 16GB and non-ich10r controller (on the mobo), Acard array standalone on the ich10r

    Clocks - cpu @ 4.48 (35x128) ht off, memory @ 1792 (99924), pcie @101

    Memory used in the Acard's - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 Dual Channel Kit Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBNT - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231207

    Yep, I just ordered up another one - I will post up 3xacard 6xR0 ich10r by this time next week.

    How big of a partition will you eventually create?

    Not that large at least at not current prices -
    Probably 6x4x2GB for benching before I split it up across two machines.
    I will keep windows folder and apps on the acards and put data to Mtrons.
    Backups will via mozy and via acronis to large slow 7200 drives.
