Phenomenal II
Big ups to the overclocking brain trust over at AMD for reaching out and being a really great host. How many times did I say this is so !@#$%^& sick in the last three days?? TOO MANY!
A ton of effort went into these results guys, save the drama about ES samples for someone else's thread. This is about AMD redefining what extreme overclocking is with phenom II platform. How about pots designed to stomp @max full to the top with LN2? How about cold booting a system at -235c? How about over 100% overclock in 3dmark 2006? How about phenom "overclockers" edition cpus that can ALL do evil things when frozen.....we can only dream right? ya never know.
There is still some unfinished business as far as I am concerned, so maybe I can go back again and finish up a few things . Just not enough time and helium to do it all. Stuff goes quick, 300l in 2-3 hrs. All benching done with no affinity stuff or disabling cores, just pure 4 core overclocking.
ASUS CROSSHAIR III and M4A79T-deluxe motherboards
AMD Phenom II 955 ES LHe4 cooled
CORSAIR DOMNATOR GT and 1800CL-7's
AMD 4870X2's in quad X-fire stock clocks & cooling
AMD CPU-Z max frequency
Validation
AMD 3Dmark 2006 with stock clocked 4870X2's. I think with some overclocked 4890's in tri-fire, close to 39K.
AMD 3dmark 2005
AMD pifast @6750mhz 4 cores
AMD superpi 1M@6750mhz 4 cores

Crazy numbers V
Now what ever happened to the 5 container plan? From the pictures it seems like you were just sitting around watching the screen as we expected.

Thats one of the unfinished biz parts . The other is that I got another cpu stable on helium at 6550mhz+ in 06' and 6612mhz in 05' right before we ran out for the last time.

Wow very nice Vince.
So so close on the 05. Ah well, next time.
I love the superpi time though. Almost into the single digits for AMD.

Very nice numbers indeed... exciting me to see more AMD. I may wander back in that direction if I keep seeing these threads.

Sick stuff man .
I love to see AMD's new architecture changing the world of cooling, and I really want to see AMD start taking over Intel in some of the benchies. Competition at the highest performance level is very good for consumers, and for innovation as well

Great stuff Vince I figured LN2 on the GPUs would be too much to tackle in that one session. Awesome scores man, too bad we don't have Brian's CPU, he was only 100MHz lower on LN2 Can't wait to hear about round II.

Every Phenom II press sample (not even marked as ES but couple weeks earlier than retail parts) I've tested so far have been worse than normal retails.

Truely awesome! That SuperPi 1M is totally wicked at 6755MHz!
I'm just wondering where the 37400 for 06 in this pic came from:
Is that one of your back ups Vince?
How was the Crosshair III compared to the M4A79T deluxe, is it worth it getting this board?
