    Lightbulb Kingston HyperX T1 3 x 2gb 2100mhz 1.65v CL8 Stable - Total Depth

Will post pic and more results later on higher vdimm..
Pic of setup about the same as profile pic except with dfi
    For DFI x58's

I find memtest hci and memtest86+ is fake on vdimm
hyperpi is somewhat fake cause all u need is to have stable vtt voltages
it will accept lower vdimm a lot by around 0..05v
prime95 set large fft then custom change run fft to 5.4gb is the best for vdimm
linx is best for vcore and ioh/ich voltages.
also HT off requires more vtt voltage than HT on

    Test rig
    I7 920
    DFI UT X58 the8
    Kingston Hyperx T1 3x2gb 2000mhz CL8
    GTx285 sli.

    Rated at 2000mhz CL8-8-8-24 so it should run 1866 CL7-8-7-20 , 1600 CL6-7-6-18 at the same voltage

    Result of rated speed

1.56set, DMM Read 1.551v - this is the UT default voltage

    2000 8-8-8-24 1n vtt 1.37

    1870 7-8-7-20 1n vtt 1.26

    1600 6-7-6-18 1n vtt 1.21

1.65v set DMM Read 1.648 load

    1720 6-7-6-18 1n vtt 1.23

    1993 7-8-7-20 1n vtt 1.39

    2100 8-8-8-24 1n vtt 1.48

had to abort linx. ambient temp now 36C will do this again on a cooler day with a hr05 and some fans.
take note i am testing in the casing not a bench rig.
    more to come.

was curious how fast is this with ht on

1.68v set DMM Read 1.673 load

    2000mhz 7-8-7-20 1n 1.39vtt

Max Stable if u have the kahuna's to run prime95 is 1.86vdimm vtt 1.68v .. csl7 should be 1.96v for vdimm but i try to abstain going more than 1.9v on x58. trust me its stable. once u figure out the trick to this mobo.. its just upping to the voltage.

Conclusion : Same price as dominator 1600mhz 6gb CL8 here in malaysia.. bargain

I have this same kit, although I couldnt test on i7 yet. I did test on X48 and it can really do some nice timings. With 1.88v I was running 944mhz 7-7-6-18-1T with really tight subs...

    update final.. done.
new kit patriot viper 2000mhz CL8's.

dunno why suddenly had a Epiphany and clocking the dfi is just so easy atm

the voltage to dram speed and latency on ths kit is very linear once u know how to clock on this mobo

also hehehe does anybody has the kahuna's do this with their cl8 kit.

technically 2000mhz Cl6 should be around the 1.86v for this ram but the vtt is 1.39v..
very close to the 0.5v difference warning.

Nice study. I was waiting for a thread on Kingstons for a while now. Great job on the analysis.

I got a brand new set of these off ebay for $157.00 unopened and they are just sitting here. I have a P5Q3 Deluxe (P45) and P5E3 Premium and a couple QUADS, maybe I will try this kit out on them after seeing your results on your X48. I bought them for my near future i7 920 D0 build and haven't even opened them. I think my kit is the same as reviewed by cstkl1.

btw in the other thread some were saying this kits dont last etc..

heck the amount of volts and hours of testing heck make that days i have pushed on this kits..

it still works fine at 2000mhz CL8 1.55v ( always recheck the low volts to make sure no degrade happened)

use prime95 large fft custom 5.4gb for the dfi and will help alot on setting the vdimm and vtt.

also for the dfi mobo's u need to make sure u have the exact vcore. overvolting and or borderline voltages will screw up on the vtt/vdimm voltage.

    yup

    will be attempting a 12gb 2000mhz CL7/CL8 when corsair send's me back my rmaed 2kC7 gt's

2k C8 is most likely at stock voltage.
2k C7 is going to be interesting at 12gb.

I've got to say, I never owned worse quality memory. These Kingston HyperX fail left and right. I went through 3 sets, 2 contained dead sticks (one in the first and 2 in the second one).

Sorry to hear that. Mine work fine. Sounds like you are going thru what I went thru with my DFI mobo. Took me 3 until I found working one!
