Systems specs are in my sig. I moved the thread to the Intel forum because, as you will see below, this issue seems localized to my Intel mobo.
I recently swapped out my old USB keyboard for a Das Keyboard Pro (DKP), which has a built in USB hub, and now my system will not pass the USB initialization stage of bootup. If I use my old keyboard to access the BIOS and then swap in the Das Keyboard, while in the BIOS, it will report +1 keyboard (fine), +1 hub (fine) and +1 mouse (wtf).
I've messed with USB legacy support, EHCI and swapping ports but nothing has helped. I've also updated the BIOS to 803. Same issue. I have a few other USB devices attached to the same system and I've never experienced this issue with any of them.
One would think the problem was the DKP but it seems to work just fine in an two other machines: an AMD server and a Dell laptop.
Any ideas? I'm out of them. Thanks.
UPDATE: It seems I'm not the only one with this issue (http://techreport.com/forums/viewtop...st=0&sk=t&sd=a).
