3DMARK 2K1 low clock challenge II

Time for another 2K1 low clock challenge, this time I'm puttin up two new Tek9 slim units for the best scores .
Listen CAREFULLY...one piece is for best single GPU score, the other is for best multi GPU score. The cpu clock limit is 4.2 jigahertz, that is 4200mhz and not a mhz over!! Any cpu is fine, any mobo is fine, any gpu is fine AS LONG as it follows the ABOVE guidelines of single GPU or multi GPU. GPU=1 CORE. Single gpu nature cap is 1200fps, and multi gpu 1400fps nature. Nature limits may change, but for now this is what we will use. Good luck. We'll go for a month or so and then see who is at the top

FINAL STANDINGS
Top 5 single and dual gpu 2K1 low clock challenge:

Single core GPU
1. 90,778 Monstru & Micutzu GTX280
2. 90,276 Hipro5 HD4870
3. 90,273 Crusty the Clown HD4890
4. 90,149 Brandybuck HD4890
5. 90,140 Hey GTX280

Dual core(s) GPU
1. 93,794 Aristidis 9800GX2
2. 93,786 gprhellas 9800GX2
3. 91,871 Achill3us GTX295
4. 91,797 Crio GTX295
5. 91,536 Poparamiro GTX295

So any cooling on GPU?

Great prize for such a skillful contest Also, this may be stupid, but why does 1 unit have grooves in it and 1 unit doesn't? Just curious.

You won't need big cooling on high end gpu's, not sure about much older ones. You can be on ANY cooling you want.. air, phase DI, LN2..whatever. Being under the clock limit is all that matters and you need to have a screenshot + valid orb url

I deeg. Hopefully when I get my REX back I can try. Don't have the money for LN2 at the moment so low clock testing on air sounds fun. Plus it wouldn't hurt to have a GPU unit that has brackets for newer gens (MM) and have a full KP rig

He is showing both the front and the back of the units. The front has groves to allow for that first bracket for older gen cards that have really small distances between mounting. The groves allows the screws to clear the pot without causing an issue.

Hey Vince,

Very cool, I'll play.

It may sound silly, but I want to be sure, GTX295 and 9800GX2 are single GPU or multi GPU cards for this game ?
I ask as they have two cores, but on the other hand it's one card. I know what hwbot calls it, but this is your game/rules.

Right before Vince put this thread up, he said that if anyone asked this question, they'd get disqualified immediately.

But if 4 GHz PII = 4 GHz E8600, then it's good for this contest.

i7 is almost equal to Core 2 in 01 clock for clock.

Heh, heh, heh........I want one pot for my 295.......I'm in......

BUT why Nature limit at 1200 for single and 1400 for dual?.....I may want to put my VGA under LN2.....

........and WHEN this contest ends?.....

EDIT: Can I join with dual AND single cards so IF I win, I get both of the LN2 pots?.......

Let me start with SINGLE VGA....

BUT you HAVE to say it from the VERY START, IF we can have a cap at 1200fps in Nature or not....Don't change it later on....

George just put a big smile on my face: at 7.50AM he finds out about this thread, one and a half hour later he posts his score with a nature 0.4FPS below the cap
