    Golden Q6600

Heres my some overclocks on my Q6600, could my chip be classified as a golden Q6600?

    3.6GHz

    Vcore: 1.2
PLL: 1.5v (could have been lower)
    VTT: 1.2v

    4.0GHz

    Vcore: 1.344v
    PLL: 1.5v
    VTT: 1.3v

    4.14GHz

    Vcore: 1.344v
    PLL: 1.5v
    VTT: 1.3v

4.23GHz - Waste not stable. Maybe if I not tweaked my MCH better etc.

    Vcore: 1.344v
PLL: 1.5v in screenshot, but i'v had to up it to 1.57v
    VTT: 1.3v

    4.545GHz

    Thanks

All of those screen shot were done with phase change cooling

So far 4.545GHz is the max, I need to break 505FSB, but I haven't been able to

    Thanks

    EDIT:

I just tried a bit higher with the same volts. Heres a screenshot

BTW I updated the first post.

How come i see 1.5v on easy tuner when your cpuz read as 1.344v @ 4ghz?

The PLL is 1.5v, the Vcore is set to 1.375v in the BIOS and drops to 1.344v on the desktop.

If that were on air or water, then it'd be golden....on single stage, seems pretty ordinary

(definitely not bad...at all....it's apparently a good chip, but golden it's not)

Ok, just i'v never seen any sceenshots before on a Q6600 @ 4.14GHz on 1.344v tho.

On Air I can do 3.6GHz on 1.296v and its ITB stable.

EDIT: I just added 4.23GHz to my first post

TUBBYTUBB over at TRP has been running his Q6600 with the nearly the same overclocks - on air no less - for months and has incredibly low temps as well.

Mine is a 1.2375v too and runs 3.6GHZ 1.36v 12H Prime95, nothing special compared with this. I need 1.40v to 3.8GGHZ. But we are only seeing SPI here

I've been saying to some people you don't need to crank up the cpu voltage to get good overclocks. I'm glad someone has put it up to reinforce my point. But then again I got my q6600 back in dec 2007. Currently mine is sitting at 1.152 volts wih a 3.2 ghz clock. Truly, why do nyone needs to crank up to 1.5v and above?

Is this a newer Q6600 or Old one because all the new ones seem to be crap unless there was a secret new batch that kills all

The reason I only ran Super Pi was cause i'm lazy and stress test programs are a bit boring. Next time I hook my phase change up i'll stress test it a bit

    Heres the batch

    L747A437

I brought it back in April last year.

Meh, I only count rock rolid stuff.
I mean I'm sure I could run 3.6Ghz at some pretty ridiculously low voltages also.
I went through about 5 Q6600s before I got to this chip though.

Next time I have my phase change hooked up i'll stress it.

What level of stressing do you call rock stable?
