    Ok, some more info

    I stage:
    10k btu/h tecumesh compressor
    R22
    -39C SST; -36 to -37C evap temp
~35C condenser outlet temp, dunno the SCT but the TXV is feeded all the time (can hear it)

Im really in some panic, i cant think clar cause i get 10C SCT in the II stage with R22 ! With -35C sst temps on the I stage...

Could i ask for some help, right now i cant think clear, the firt thing ill try to do is give you guys as much data as i can

what is the temperature of the liquid coiming from the ishx on the 2nd stage. i would trust that way more than the sct temperature.

As always, there are three important questions involved:

    What is the heat load?

How cold do you want it?

Will that be Visa, MC, or Discover Card?

Are you sure it isn't overcharged? I have seen this with my system; as soon as there is too much refrigerant in the system, the interstage HX fills up and the low stage condensing pressure skyrockets. The interstage HX then acts as a subcooler only.

It sounds to me like the low stage is overcharged. The difference between the high stage SST and the low stage SCT should be about 6-8C. Another possibility would be air in the low stage system.

Remove refrigerant until the difference is 6-8C and let's see how the low stage performs then.
