they add sas and reduce the price?
are you sure about that hazzan?

id rather think they are adding sas and offering a new deluxe, and the old deluxe will be cheaper once the new one is out.

weird that they update the board just to add sas

    saaya,

they removed the Marvell SAS host controller rom, and downscaled the VRM design to reduce board costs. From 16 active voltage phases to 8, not sure if they scaled the QPI/IMC reg design down as well.

Isn't that the same as the P6T Vanilla, with "better" cooling?

let me correct my previous post, probably shouldn't reply to forum posts while analyzing hex dumps heh.

only difference between specs is the lack of Marvell SAS host controller rom. Otherwise should be the same board.

I've heard rumours of there being problems with SAS rom and ICH rom not working merrily together when both in RAID mode, and problems with unable to boot off SAS drives I believe when ICH is operating in native/raid.

Anyone here is going to try the V2 ?

Isn't it weird that no one on the net has previewed the V2 ?

I wonder how decreasing phase 16-->8 will affect OC stability (if even at all for 24/7 systems)

I own the P6T V2 and it's an Awesome board! It OC's beautifully and it's been nothing shiort of rock Solid! I waited just for that reason to get rid of the SAS and that's the only Difference between the two.
