    Low cost DIce/LN2 Pot

Hi, I´m interested in extreme overclocking and I made my first DIce/LN2 pot a short time ago. I´m thinking about updating my project. So I want to ask you, what is your opinion of my pot and what would you propose to improve. I've used alumunium for that, because it is very cheap material. I made backplate and mounting kit for installation to socket 478, 775 and 1366. I tried it on some CPUs with DIce and I was very pleased from the temperatures. The lowest temperature with acetone was about -85°C and stable temperature with Q9550 at 4,35GHz with 1,9V was about -65°C. Production cost about 70$ with some insulation material and complete mount kit with backplate, 30$ is amount of work for turner. So, price of this pot is 100$ + shipping and if you would to buy this pot, send me Personal Message. Thanks BAGR

I think that -65C on 4,35GHz 1,9V quad is impossible. Maybe on copper pot, but even I don't think so. Using more acetone doesn't improve your temps What thermometer do you have? Maybe here is the problems with temp readings.

This temperature was in IDLE and I haven´t had thermometer yet. This temperature was measured in BIOS and I don´t know, if it was absolutly right...:-(

Don't use DICE/LN2 if You are going to insulate like that: http://picasaweb.google.com/ocbluest...99852399120514

Yes, maybe, but for LN2 is higher pot better ;-). In next version I´ll make thinner walls (5-7mm)

I haven´t practice with LN2, but my friend told me: "The higher pot is better for LN2, because if LN2 is boiling, it is splashing and if you´ll have higher pot, the LN2 will not splash out from pot."

I don´t know, if it is right, I never tried LN2. I think, it is good reason.

That's not the reason to make high POTs. If you know how to use LN2 correctly, it would not splash out.
