    [Test] ADATA 3x2GB 1333+ XPG

    Adata 3x2GB DDR3 1333+ XPG

Adata was doing with its renowned DDR1 chips in BH5/CH5 a price of noname a great time then with the TCCD in Vitesta (PC4800 other).

Today, Adata launches in the world of overclocking, and even creates a site especially for that. Offering a variety of Kits (simply and power user), we tested a basic kit 3x2go 1333+ in the range Vitesta XPG.

    Site Official : http://oc.adata.com.tw/index.asp

    Presentation of Kit :

The Presentation of the Kit Vitesta XPG is simple, overcame Heatpipe Red glued directly to the chips, it is quite difficult to remove without torn chips. This kit Tri Channel 6go input range is based on Elpida chips that are certified 666mhz cas 7/7/7/20 between 1.65v and 1.75v.

    Configuration of Test :

    Intel Core i7 965XE 3837A538
    Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Bios F3
    3x2go Adata Vitesta XPG 1333+ Cas 7 + 1x120mm Papst
    Gigabyte HD4870x2
    Coolermaster RealPro 1000w
    Thermalright Extreme 120
    WD Vélociraptor 300go 10000tr

The stability test has been made under Superpi 8MB for a period about 2minutes, remove between a 10mHz/ 15mhz for stability following the CAS latency and voltage.

These Elpida Chips aren't comfortable with vddr, our maximum was 1.72v when cas 6 / 7 and about 1.66v when cas 8 / 9 as more vddr, stability was even worse these frequencies .
The cas 7 and 8 appear to be the best compromise for the best performance that these chips Elpida can offer. The cas 6 is a little low and the case 9 makes virtually no improvement compared to the case 8.

    Conclusion :

To conclude, this kit entry of ADATA isnt doing for the overclockeurs with these chips Elpida. But given are more attractive about 200/220€ (price public in france) for a kit 6go (giving 35€ of 1gb or 70€ the 2go), don't expect a miracle.
The overclocking is quite satisfactory in cases 7 and 8 and she enjoys all the same guarantee of 10 years (in France and Guarantee Life of the orthers country). I am disappointed of the certification 1.65/1.75v isn't really applicable to instability light of these tensions (not lucky maybe)
