    Q9550 E0 + P5q-e

    Hey
    Just got this rig

    Q9550 (E0)
    P5Q-E -1406 Bios
    PC2-6400 OCZ Reaper 4-4-4-15
    BFG 9800 GTX+ OC
    Asus 900 Case
Tuniq Core Contact (blowing up with the antec case fan)
    Corsair 520w PSU

    I have the following settings

    Code:
    AI Overclock tuner : Manual
    CPU Ratio Setting : 8.5
    FSB Frequency : 475
    PCI-E Frequency : 100
FSB Strap to North Bridge	: 333
    DRAM Frequency : DDR2-951
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel A1	: AUTO
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel A2	: AUTO
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel B1	: AUTO
DRAM CLK Skew on Channel B2	: AUTO
    DRAM Timing Control : Manual

    5-5-5-18-3-50-6-3

DRAM Static Read Control	: Auto
    DRAM Read Training : Auto
    MEM. OC Charger : Auto
    AI Clock Twister : Auto
    AI Transaction Booster : Manual
      Common Performance Level	: 10

    CPU Voltage : 1.36875
    CPU GTL Voltage Reference (0/2)	: 0.610
    CPU GTL Voltage Reference (1/3)	: 0.650
    CPU PLL Voltage : 1.52
    FSB Termination Voltage : 1.32
    DRAM Voltage : 2.20
    NB Voltage : 1.38
    NB GTL Reference : Auto
    SBridge Voltage : 1.20
    PCIE SATA Voltage : Auto

    Load Line Calibration : Enabled
    CPU Spread Spectrum : Disabled
    PCIE Spread Spectrum : Disabled
CPU Clock Skew : Delay 400ps
NB Clock Skew : Delay 400ps
    CPU Margin Enhancement : Optimized
I cant get better than 475. I'd like to hit higher, I'd love to his 500fsb which i know is alot to ask for. But E0 is supposed to hit 4ghz to 4.4ghz right?
I ran IBT for 5 loops on the above settings and it passed. Ill post screenie later.

    Thanks

If your cpu does 3.8-4ghz region you already got a nice one... The new Q9650 seems to be the king of FSB (on certain mobo's,mostly P45 based)
5 loops of IBT means nothing, sorry to bust ya bubble, but most agree that a 64bit OS is required and at least 20-30 runs to claim stability...

EO or not, much depends on the mobo you use, other hardware, stability of the PSU etc to warrant 500FSB stable ops... If you can get it stable for a longer test period at ya current volts mate you got a very very nice setup...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I was on 0704 and things were smooth. Was getting pretty decent OC results. Changed to 1406, now i cant even get 3.5ghz stable. Cant find the 0704 for download so im using the 1201 modified BIOS, these are better but still not as good. I had 3.8ghz right off the bat with 0704 but the Graphics card was acting up. Changing to 1201 has solved that issue but now i cant even Post higher than 3.5Ghz.

Also im running vista x64 (i use maya).

Just trying the 0901 BIOS now. Seems to let me boot windows at 471*8.5 - 1.36875 Vcore. Wouldnt let me do that before. Going to try testing now.
