    Antec Mini P180

As most of you know and to much regret I have chosen another case over my modified Silverstone SG01-Evolution..

    Pics:

    The Goal:

Silence, clean looks (nothing over the top but still pleasing to the eye), functionality (aka overkill?)

Last but not least PERSONAL TASTE! (Built to spec)

    Comments:

I love the look of the Mini P180. Being clean, smooth, dead quiet and still very small in size but tonnes of room inside which caters exactly for my personal needs.

Yes I did.. I bought a fan controller!! (I'm very minimalistic..) But since it has a door I can hide it away (all be it a very sexy fan controller) also hiding is a CD drive (no more cables hanging out of the old SG01!)

The case is sound insulated and pending developments I want to do I may padd it further.

    Credits:

Hope you enjoy, rest assured there will be updates and by no means is it finished! No interior pics for now (lots to do inside still!)

    Untill next time,

    foR

Wait . . . .you still have that SG01 right.

This is a very nice case and has a tonne of room inside. I wonder what you can do to it lol.

I'm planing to mod mine so that i can fit a triple rad inside replacing my current MCR220.

Nice to see another Antec Mini P180 owner!

I bought this case on sale in july, and I'm very happy with it, even with fact that the case is bigger than I Initially thought!

I made a more or less silent studio music recording rig by ditching the Antec 120mm in the back for a 1000rpm sharkoon silent eagle at ~750rpm with a Zalman fan mate.

I also have the big Antec fan down volted and are using the quiet: Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro PWM CPU-Cooler for the 45w AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4850e 2.5GHz.

With no additional graphic card (are using Integrated gfx on the GA-MA78GM-S2H board) this home studio music recording rig is now dead silent!

I also love the case for the great out of the box airflow, so its also usable for more hot hardcore gear and CPU's than my lousy recording rig has right now!

Nice black colour inside of the case and I'm loving the great cable management!

    In short! - Great case!

Looking forward to see more of what you can do with this case.

Look's like it will be a sweet project. Im not to sold on the mini version of the p180 though. Something about the oddly shaped vents on the front panel and the "arrowhead" on the top rear.

It just looks odd to me. They should've left those out imo and made it a bit more "simple" and clean.

Never-the-less I have a feeling you're gonna get a sweet rig out of this.

My next is going to be based around a P180 (at least thats what im planning for right now). I just need to decide on what 180 to get since there are a few available.

    Good luck!

I look forward to seeing what you do with the mini, as I have been following the SG01 thread of yours with some interest especially with how you arranged your multitude of heatsinks.

I also think that the Antec Mini P180 is nicer than its bigger brother, though I wish they had made it possible to squeeze in an ATX motherboard by placing the PSU in the front like in the Lian Li PC-A05.

I think you will enjoy working with the Mini P180, it has a lot going for it. I just built my first matx system with this case, and it was a pleasure. Going from a Stacker 832/P5Q-D was quite a transition, but I had been planning on a sff build for a while. The Mini P180 really does have excellent cable management options, plenty of well-finished cut-outs for the cables, and the width of the case makes stringing the excess cables behind the motherboard tray a piece of cake. Even with a non-modular full-size PCP&P power supply, I was able to hide away all of the excess cables easily.
I enjoyed following your Silverstone project and look forward to seeing your new build

Yes, it's quite a combo, the performance is great, easy to overclock and very stable, in my case going from an E8400, E8500, and various flavors of 8800's, the most recent being a GX2. Just too bad that the HR-03GTX has been delayed

Stealth The feser one liquid is black/UB Dark blue.

Kind of ran out of $ at the moment so will be a while before the GPU cooler make it in there which really halts the whole process
