I was accepted for an internship at AMD this summer (in Dresden). I ended up passing on the offer since they wanted me to do web design which is not that interesting to me and went to Volkswagen.
But I had a friend who did his internship at AMD this summer.
If you work in the software department, you will have no contact to the hardware department. So if you think you might find some secret stuff about Deneb or something, you are wrong. Also, due to their financial situation, the pay is not that great.

i did this internship some years ago, its really worth it
and you dont necessarily have to speak russian, they are looking for other language support as well, but right now they are looking for somebody to cover russia.
So if you dont speak russian apply anyways and in a few weeks to months they might get back to you

    We all must start somewhere
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

You should probably try posting this on overclockers.ru - I bet there are ~50 people who fit the bill there.

I've been receiving quite a few PMs of people asking of other positions. Well in short I'm not HR and cannot say much on this. You can just apply for open positions on AMD website. I'm looking for person to fill this particular internship role.

Visa ain't a problem. Problem is to explain to EU why we hired a non EU citizen when there's so many EU citizens unemployed. And from my understanding HR doesn't want this to occur. Sorry mate.

Anyone else who already responded with the details asked via PM but wasn't contacted within 2 days please drop me a PM.
