USB NES controller!!!
Just take a old [or in my case japanese] USB keyboard find 8 keys that have the same ground [on mine it was a,s,d,f,j,k,l,; ] and find the other contacts on the previously mentioned keys, and trace them back to the controller board, these contacts are where you solder wires form the buttons.
Inside the controller there is one chip, rip it off, or desolder it, I don't care, all the buttons have the same ground, solder the ground from the keyoard keys to this one it is one of the holes from the chip, then find the rest of the buttons and solder wires from their corresponding holes to the usb controller board where the keyboard keys completed their circuits. Stuff into NES controller [I had trouble with this part] done!
the numlock led!
Sorry for lack of pics, I get excited while building and forget.
When setting it up in your emulator [I use FCEU] just set the buttons to what they are
Suddenly I'm awesome again at mario 3! Long live NES, the only acceptable console!
