Phenom X3 8750 on cheap Asus M3N78 Pro board ...

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=405457

Board can't go over 289 at the BIOS. However, this 3.45 Ghz is pretty solid, voltage is 1.475 at BIOS, but with Asus vdrop is around 1.45.
Interesting is that the cheap M3N78 Pro are much better and more stable than fancy Crosshair 2 formula. Also M3N78 Pro allows only to change memory speed, voltage, nb speed, core voltage, nb voltage, etc... but you have no control over the memory timings!

Kingston HyperX 1200 2x1GB. PSU is Cooler Master 1.25 KW.

This is air cooled and cooler is also cheap, Titan TTC-NK34TZ.

    Holly sh......

That's the highest HTT speed I've seen out of a Phenom!

    Whats the max prime-stable HTT?

Have you tried flashing her to a different BIOS?

I mean... some board with same chipset and PCB layout from ASUS should have some more options... just like in the old times of A8N Deluxe BIOS modded to A8N Premium....

    Anyway, very nice OC!

Here it is @ 3.38 Ghz spi , winrar and wprime!
It can be benched at 3.45, but with lower RAM speed.

@Gothic, only the first release BIOS is available for this board.
I didn't tested orthos prime stability, but at 3.35 - 3.4 ghz with lower nb @2.0 Ghz and lower RAM speed it is pretty rock solid.

Very impressive results indeed! If only AMD could produce more chips with such OC potential...

What kind of cooling are you using?

I think that the most of B3 chips has such oc. potential... But, motherboards are problematic. This CPU at GA-MA790GP-DS4H, (790GX + SB750), can't go over 3.36 ghz, at 3.2 unbenchable. Foxconn A7DA-S, can't change northbridge speed and voltage. Max for this CPU on Foxconn is 3.0 Ghz.

This is aircooled, with cheap Titan cooler.

Here is Cinebench at 3.45 Ghz.

This was clocked with Asus M3N 78 Pro. For 3.0 Ghz you don't need more than 1.3-1.35v. But foxconn 790GX is probably better overclocker than your M2N-E.

Interesting thoughts, I was thinking of waiting for the 45nm Phenoms, but this makes me feel tempted to buy a cheap X3 and play with. :-)

nForce 700 series chipset, also has ACC - Advanced Clock Calibration like AMD 790GX + 750SB. This feature unlock Phenom's 65nm overclocking potential probably up to 3.5 Ghz.
